You can either get a new Hard Drive or start deleting stuff. keep in mind it still takes up space on your drive until you empty the trash/recycle.

How to I clean out adata nobility nh92 so I can start updates again?

Check in "Properties" i if your external hard dreive is really full. If it is full, check entries; probably about half of your hard drive is useless backup. Delete unnecesary files and folders so it might continue backing up.

What do I do when my Xbox will not allow me to download upates my games?

Make sure you have a hard drive installed, that it is properly formatted, and is not full. You could also use a thumb drive for temporary storage. Make sure your network is operating correctly and that you are connected to receive the updates. If you have a thumb drive you can download the file from xbox website and install offline. The updates should install automatically when it's properly configured and up to date.

Dell firmware for Seagate SAS harddisk

The firmware for any electronics device tells the hardware how to properly function.

Most devices rarely need a firmware upgrade, however, computer products such as a Seagate hard drive need to have the firmware updated periodically due to computers constantly going through operating system upgrades.

Luckily, you can update your Seagate hard drive firmware with an Internet connection and a few clicks of your mouse.

Connect your Seagate hard drive to your computer if the hard drive is external.

Launch your Internet browser and navigate to the Seagate.com website.

When the site loads click the "Downloads" button.

Click on the hard drive listing you currently own.

This brings up all of the most current downloads for your Seagate hard drive.

The listings of the hard drives have the image, so match your hard drive to the image online if you are not sure what drive you have.

The user manual states what hard drive you currently own also.

If you don't have your owners manual, open "My Computer" (or "Computer") and right-click the hard drive icon and select "Properties."

Here the computer states exactly what model of hard drive you have.

Click the Firmware update and click the "Download" button to launch the download.

Click-and-drag the file into the hard drive if you are using an external hard drive

(open "My Computer," then double-click the removable hard drive icon).

Open the downloaded file and follow the prompts to install the updated firmware.

Hope this helps

8002F997

- This error is caused by an issue with updating the PlayStation 3 firmware by USB drive. Ensure there are no problems with the USB drive. Download the firmware update to the USB drive again to ensure the firmware file is not corrupt. Try the installation of the firmware again. If all else fails, update firmware over the network.

Hi, I have some troubles with my Baracuda ATA IV 20gb,so I need to download some softwear for this harddrive.Do you know weare I can find it? Thanks Allex Bulat

Hi

Hard Drive faults can rarely be repaired by downlading drivers. The drivers for almost all hard drives are already in any operating system.

Most hard drive faults are physical faults, such as bad sectors, controller board faults or shock damage.

Some apparent faults may actually be due to incorrect jumper settings. It is worth fully exploring all the jumper setting options available on this drive.

This drive is quite an old ATA drive and because hard drives work so hard spinning several thousand times per minute (yours is 7,200rpm), the older a hard drive gets the more susceptible it is to failure.

Your drive was probably manufactured in 2001 and is likely to have had a 3 year warranty when new, so it is long past its warranty period. This means that little help is now available to you from Seagate.

It is sometimes possible to download Firware Updates for certain hard drives, which can improve the performance of the drive. But Firmware Updates rarely repair hard drive errors.

You can find detailed technical information about your hard drive here:

www.seagate.com/support/disc/manuals/ata/100129212b.pdf
Available Firmware Update Information for Seagate Drives can be found here:
http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=207931&NewLang=en To check if any Firmware Updates are available for your drive, you need the full model number, which should be somewhere on the label (possibly ST380021A).

If firmware updates or jumper settings changes don't work, you may have to consider buying a new ATA hard drive.

I hope this helps.

Bought a new network hard drive 1tb iomega. Operating system requirements is XP. Saleman said it would update on line & work with windows 7. doesnot happen for me . Is it compatible or not? CD will not...

The drive will not update itself automatically. You will have to download the firmware update and update it yourself. You may also want to get the latest Manager software that is Windows 7 compatible.
