SOURCE: My steam mop is spraying

A little bit of duct tape might fix the problem? Or some putty...... Don't burn your leg :)

SOURCE: Water and steam sprays out

The steam comes through that hole, due to clogged/ or blocked line or due to clogged or cracked filter.-------------------------
This hole is a pressure relief valve. The valve is designed to release steam if something is blocking the steam path inside the unit.-------- Try this procedure :--- Using a Phillips head screw driver remove the single screw at the base if the unit and remove mop head. CAUTION: The spray tip may be hot. Clear any clogs from the spray tip. -------- Replace mop head back onto unit and tighten screw. Turn unit on. And then check. Is the steam emitting from the same hole still or not.--------- But if its emitting from same hole then try this procedure as follows :---- Remove water tank by lifting straight up and away from unit. Is filter cracked or damaged?-- NOTE: If the filter is blue in color it needs to be replaced. If the filter is not damaged then reinsert the filter back.Dont forget the clean the filter before reinserting. Then refit the filter properly and check, the steam should not blow through that hole.--------- ------------------------ This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Why is vax s7-a+steam mop steamer dripping water and cuts on and off

I managed to fix mine after a little effort. It was blocked well up in the nozzle into a small pinhole where the steam comes out of the 'small kettle' in the steam mop.
To fix:
  • take the blue side bit off by unscrewing the two small screws
  • Undo the screws inside (there are about 11)
  • Once these were undone there was two screws holding the nozzle cover.
  • After unscrewing these pull the nozzle cover of and scrape limescale from inside the small hole where the steam comes out
  • Put it all back together and it should work much better
You should only really do this if you are competent as there are lots of wires etc. and if your steam mop is not covered under warranty as messing around with it will void this.

Hope this helps :)

The mop just stopes making steam to the head. Could this be A heat coil problem? Also a lot of others have had This happen.

On these steam mops, you have to use distilled water, if you use tap water and do not have a house water softner or some kind of water filtration system, the water running thru the tubes of the steam mop
will develop calcium deposits, these deposits are caused by hard water and will clog up the tubes, and keep the mop from producing steam, then you will have to replace the lines. i own this brand of steam
mop and had the same problem you had, I replaced the lines and started using distilled water, and have not had any problems since and that was last year. good luck!

My Europro shark steam mop won't steam, light on but no steam.

Hard water deposits. I ran some white vinegar through mine, like a coffee maker, and it worked for a while, but clogged again. So I unplugged it, let it cool and turned it over in the bathtub and squirted a small amount of Lime-Away into the hole where the steam comes out. Let it soak for 5- 10 minutes and it is working like is is brand new.
