I seen two tpyes one where the inter jet unscrew and the other where the outter ring unscrews not sure what kind you have . Went to the pool store and they had a cleaner you add to the water and then run the unit for about 20 minutes then drain . It seem to work pretty good and there was less hassel taking the jets apart

SOURCE: How can I unclog plumbing in whirlpool tub used to clean dogs?

Depending on how mechanically inclined you are, take apart the tub and clean everything out. No easy task, I know, but who want old dog hair floating around? That will be your best bet.

The suction IS the water intake. it takes the water from the tub into the pump and the water comes back out through the jets.

SOURCE: Black come out the jets when first operating them

Didn't fully drain at the end of last year, that gunk was mold, rust and gunk that's been sitting in the piping since last year. Not really a problem just remember to take a closer look at the plumbing on your tub next year and get all of the possible places that water may hold drained completely.

Do Mirolin water jet tub jets come out for cleaning ?

No they do not here is a simple way to clean the jets and the piping.

Regular Jet Cleaning

To clean the entire whirlpool system and tub exterior, follow this process every month or more frequently if needed. Don't let dirt and grime build up or you'll have more scrubbing to do to get the tub clean.
  1. Fill the tub with hot water, approximately an inch above the highest jet.
  2. Make sure the water temperature reaches at least 140? F (60? C).
  3. Add 1/2 cup of laundry detergent or the amount used to clean 1 load of laundry as recommended by the detergent manufacturer.
  4. Run the jets for 15 minutes.
  5. Drain the tub and refill with clean lukewarm water.
  6. Run the jets for another 15 minutes.
  7. Drain the bathtub.
  8. Dry the tub completely by wiping it down with a clean towel.

Get jets unplugged

Cleaning your Tub
There are several options for cleaning the piping on a jetted bathtub.
The reason you have a residue on the bathtub surface when you are done bathing is because there is bacteria built up in the plumbing of the jetted tub. In order to remove that and reduce the amount of "yucky stuff" coming into the tub when using it, we recommend a regular usage of a jet cleaning product about once every couple of months
Here is a link to the cleaning products I can find right now. There may be other out there that I am not aware of but I do know these products work well in all jetted bathtubs.

When I push the button on my american standard jacuzzi tub I hear the hum of the motor but jets don't come on

In my case I took the motor out and used a screw driver to turn the impeller in the front of the pump and the fins inthe back. Put it back together and it worked. I then used 2 tablesoons of dishwashing detergent and 1/2 cup bleach and ran it for 20 minutes to clean and degrease the impellers

Troy bilt 2550 max psi 2.3gpm pressure washer don't want to kick over

sounds like dirty carb jet. most pressure washers sit for long periods of time and many have the jet in the bottom of bowl where dirt and grime collect. depending on the model the bottom screw holding on the carb bowl is the jet. clamp or turn off the fuel to carb, unscrew the bolt out of the bottom of the bowl and look for a hole down the center and hole on either side under the bolt head. most likely these are plugged. you can take a strand out of a piece of #12 guage electrical wire and somewhat clean the holes well enough to shoot carb cleaner through them. once you clean out the hole going down to the holes going across and clean inside of bowl you can reassemble and should start. in the case of the jet being screwed into the carb assembly just look for a brass screw and unscrew it.and clean it. all jets are made of brass so look for a gold colored screw with flat blade tip screwdriver slot. if its plugged with dirt or old gas you found your problem.

Mantis starts ok, and idles just fine, but when you give it gas it dies?

Start with the basics. Check condition of fuel lines and fuel filter. May need a simple adjustment by backing out on the low mixture screw just enough to give you a smooth "throttle up". You may also need to open the high mixture screw to obtain proper high speed. If adjustments do not correct the problem, you could be looking at overhauling or replacing the carburetor, whichever is more cost effective. Hope this helps.

When it's warm, I can crank my 1985 Yamaha Maxim X easily. But I want to know how I can tell if my carbs are NOT cleaned properly. If it's cold, I can't even jump start it. I replaced the needles and seat,...

Take out the pilot air screw[s] from the carbs and remove the pilot jets. Check for dirt and make sure the hole in the jet is clear. Check the pilot air screw for dirt wipe clean carefully as the inboard tapered section is easily damaged.
Check the float bowls are clean remove main jets and check they are clear of any dirt/debris etc.
Make sure when you replace the pilot air screws you screw them in carefully until they just stop. Do not over tighten in any way. (Be very gentle please). Then turn them out the correct number of turns as stated in you manual.
The pilot jets control starting and throttle opening up to about halfway.
