Hate my jetted tub

I don't care how many cleaning solutions are offered. Whirlpool or jacuzzi or jetted tubs -- whatever you call them -- are so gross! Just the thought of bacteria and scum lurking in the jets (even after cleaning) give me the willies. I want the jet holes closed up permanently. We can't afford a new tub. How do we go about doing this? Thanks.

SOURCE: How can I unclog plumbing in whirlpool tub used to clean dogs?

Depending on how mechanically inclined you are, take apart the tub and clean everything out. No easy task, I know, but who want old dog hair floating around? That will be your best bet.

SOURCE: some jets dont work

jets don't 'clog' - turn the face of the jet nozzle - it is perhaps an adjustable jet you have that has been turned off.

SOURCE: jacuzzi whirlpool hot tub, flashes Fl-1 has new filters,

Sounds like a bad heating element. This is located in a stainless steel tube under or around the main control box behind the cover around the tub. It is not hard to replace but should be done by a pro. The part is avaliable online.

When I push the button on my american standard jacuzzi tub I hear the hum of the motor but jets don't come on

In my case I took the motor out and used a screw driver to turn the impeller in the front of the pump and the fins inthe back. Put it back together and it worked. I then used 2 tablesoons of dishwashing detergent and 1/2 cup bleach and ran it for 20 minutes to clean and degrease the impellers

Hello, a few months ago I installed a jacuzzi tub with a Rapid Heat heater. I'd like to clean the tub either by the bleach/detergent method or the granule cleaning packet method. My question is should I...

Any recommended (see the tub instructions) cleaning product should be fine in the heater -- and the higher temperature of the "cleaning solution" should enhance the process. Just be sure to flush the tub's entire system with clean water before you bathe in it again!

Have a whirlpool cadet jacuzzi tub and black slime comes out when I turn pump on? how do I get rid of this? I don't use the tub often.

You have a bacteria problem. You will need a cleaner to run through your system. some names to search for ... system flush, Jet Clean, Jet Fresh
Once you run the cleaner through your tub that will eliminate the sludge you are getting

Water coming out of adjustable air vent behind wall of tub

one or more of the jets are turned off. i would suspect someone is plugging the jets off which causes water to go backwards in the system and the water goes out the air controls. solution: check the jets to make sure the jet faces are turned on and/or tell someone to quit plugging off the jets when they are in the tub.

My jacuzzi bathtub plastics pipes underneath are leaking due to being chewed by rats. So if i fill up the tub to the jacuzzi line holes, water leakes through the chewed pipes on to the wood floor...

no there is no solutions for plugging off the jets so the water doesn't go in them. you will have to pull the tub and repair the lines. no access panel just means you have to dig in!

Black soot in my jacuzzi tub

sounds like the rubber seals are going bad, does it recomend to run cascade thru the jets? this might be harmful to the gaskets and the pump, you maight want to disconnect the hose and flush out the tubes going around the tub, but I would call jacuzzi and ask them if this is good to run thru there, thye might be able to help you with the gaskets, questions over the phone do not cost you, call them, ask for repairs section good luck
