My phone works fine but I'm trying to download the Getting Started CD which has the Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 so i can take music and put it directly onto the phone but whenever I put the CD in it says I have to download the new version of Adobe Flash Player which I've just recently updated. I id what it told me and went to click on the CD again and it popped up with the same error message even though I had just re-installed the new adobe player, what's going on??
SOURCE: Error message M506
I also had this problem and thought my music players were broken. The media players displayed the songs as 00:00:00 even when the file info read that it took up space and had a song length. The music player displayed that m506 error message.
I looked through forms for an answer, and I noticed I didn't try messing with one thing: THE BATTERY.
Try taking the battery out of your phone and putting it back in. It worked for me! My music players work again!

Try going to Adobe.com and download the Adobe Shockwave Player as well as the Flash Player it asked you to get.

try using opera mini in your phone , it will handle such problems . its free and download it from the opera site.
SOURCE: I can't install CD for
uninstall the AFP ..restart your computer ...install the AFP again
(you can also download the latest version from here
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html )
this will solve the problem
:)
Insert the "Getting Started" CD that came with your device into your PC and follow the prompts.
Note: The disk will detect what operating system you have and what sync software you have loaded. If you already have ActiveSync installed on your PC, it will not give you an option to install it from the disk (same for WMDC) until it has been removed from your PC.
The phone reboots after install.
And done
