How do I transfer files or applications from pc to the htc snap?

1. Download "ActiveSync" from this link for Windows XP users or "Mobile Device Center" from this link for Windows Vista (or above) users.
2. Once downloaded, open the file to run it.
3. After the Installation is complete, it is best to reboot your computer.
4. After Reboot, connect your HTC Snap via its USB cable and "ActiveSync" or "Mobile Device Center" will recognize your new HTC Snap device.

The software installation file you have purchased is in "APK" format which is what Android will recognize as an application installer.
To install applications outside of the Market you must select/check "Unknown sources" which is located under "Applications" which is located under "Settings."

here u'll have *.cab files which can be downloaded to the PC and from there can be transfered to the HTC through the same cable that is for charging diconnected from the charging unit and connect to the USB port

save the files to the memory card / storage card

and from the file manager on the phone go to the folder where you have saved the cab files and clicking on them would start the installation process

There are few tools to have. A usb cord, your PC has Bluetooth and pair with you N51 via bluetooth. Have the free software, "Nokia PC Suite". Download it from www.nokiausa.com/PCsuite. It's a free download. Once downloaded, restart your computer. (without the phone connected) Connect. It'll give you easy step by step instructions to transfer contacts to the computer. Plus, other multimedia you may have on your device. Very handy!! Then, just use Active Sync or any software you got with your HTC Touch HD. It can sync you contacts from Outlook onto the new phone. This is nice, in case your phone would crash, break, or the worse stolen. Your contacts are all backed up on the PC.
