Are they new drives? If so make sure you have the jumper settings on them set to master/ slave.... or run them on different buses. with a new hard disc I usually right click on 'my computer' and select 'manage' then go down bottom to drives and go from there. or maybe you have been in cabinet and knocked the bus connection out of the motherboard slightly?

My Lifebook C2340 won't recognize it's own DVD-ROM. When I set the CD in the BIOS, it goes back to "None". It doesn't show up in My Computer. I've cleaned the contacts and tried another DVD. Still won't...

Does it show the device in the BIOS? If not then there could be a problem with the motherboard hardware. If it is not showing up in the BIOS then I would first verify that the power connector for the drive has voltage. Also verify that the slave/master jumpers are correct if the drive has any. You could also try downloading the BIOS update from Fujitsu and see if after updating the BIOS it brings the cd-rom drive detection back. If the BIOS is seeing the drive but Windows is not then the problem could be with the Windows drivers or installation. You could try going into the control panel for windows and use the "detect new hardware function" and see if Windows detects the drive.

SYSTEM SWITCHES ON AND DETECTS ALL THE HARDWARE BUT WONT GIVE ME THE "PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD-ROM OPTION"

Some computers allow you to select an alternate boot device by pressing the F12 key as you boot up.
If your computer doesn't have this option then go into the BIOS configuration and change the boot order and make the CD-ROM the first boot device and the hard drive the second boot device.

All drive not detected

Check your power supply that its working or not. If its working then

Please check all the cable inside your system and then try attaching 1 by 1 i.e. attach first hard disk and than start your machine and see that it is detecting or not.

If its detecting then attach cd-rom and start your machine.
If its not detecting then remove hard disk and attach CD-ROM only.

If CD-ROM is also not detected then there is problem with your cable.
