Is there a fuse - Scotsman Freezer Clear Icemaker w/ Pump

do you have the old fuse? If so, carefully read the engraved markings on it

A. Is it plugged in?
B. Did you turn the Controls INSIDE the Freezer to the ON Position or to a lower setting?
C. Does the Light go on?
D. There is a Fuse that will blow (BUSS FUSE), you will need to change it if when you test it, there is power BEFORE and not after...

The fuse is usually found on the power circuit board.

Your fuse range is too small, change it with a bit higher range.

Look for fuses inside the control box where the lights are located.

check both of these. they are the wiring diagrams that show where the fuses are in the circuit.

I am not familiar with your unit but It sounds like you may have more problems then you think. The freezer and refrigerator are probably on the same compressor so a fuse shouldn't be involved unless the light doesn't come on. If that is the case you have a tripped breaker or blown fuse in your house panel. Be sure the freezer is actually still working, they warm up much slower then the refrigerator. Put a thermometer inside close it and check every few hours for a few days. It will go up and down, this is normal but it should stay at least -10 or lower (guess on this unit). Check to see if the compressor is operating. Is it possible somebody bumped the thermostat while putting something in the unit?

Hope this helps as a starting point. Find a local source of dry ice in case the freezer fails, this will hold it for a while saving your food giving you time to effect a repair.

Had the same problem with my TA5FNFS once you have confirmed as there is power in the wall socket and the fuse in the plug and cable are ok, I found as the PCB control board had burnt out costs about £60 for a replacement board

This may sound too simple. A fuse is a safety. It usually blows when the amps are higher than the fuse rating. Since yours blows immediately, I would look very closly for a pinched wire, a crossed wire, or a wire that has rubbed through. Once that is eliminated, start isolating components one at a time.
