You can get a spliter for the phone line. but that will not prevent the modem cutoff when the phone ring. or vs verse. the best thing to do is get a switch or control box that will automatically terminate one when you are on the computer or on the phone.

Zoom X6 routers don't work with either Kindles or Nooks- it seems the connect on demand to save power confuses the Zoom router - typically requiring the unpractical fix of rebooting the router every two minutes.
is it wireless connection or ethernet? Zoom routers have a firewall and when you have something connected that the firewall doesnt like (Xbox 360 or Gaming) it will drop the connection. goto zoom.com/x6 and it will give you instruction on how to by-pass the firewall using an different IP address.
hopefully you haev installed the software first on yoy computer>
turn off the computer. connect the phone line one end to the ethernet port on your computer and the other end to one of the LAN port on the x6.
power up the (power cube shipped with the X6), the Pwr and the WLAN should come on and become steady, the LINK light should blink,
turn on you computer, connect a new phone line between ADSL port and the wall jack, the LINK light should become steady.
please rate the answer if it solved your porblem.
thank you
Unplug the plug (from phoneline) on back of USB modem, plug into Zoom router. Plug one end of an ethernet cable into router and one end into your PC. Type http://10.0.0.2 into a web browser (eg. Firefox or Internet explorer) username/password is admin/zoomadsl go to basic setup and input your ISP username and password (the one given to you by your internet provider) under PPP. Click configure my connection. Save changes and then write to flash (both buttons on bottom of page)
you need a ethernet network card, if you want it connected to the x6 directly, or you can get a wireless card for the desktop.
the instruction for setup the x6 is straightforward. but you need to follow it to the letter, otherwise it won't work.
the internet light, is usually a blinking green, showing that it's seeing the internet signal. The only reason it's red, is cause there's no net signal..double check the phone line going into the back of your router, and change it if you need to. check your computers warranty here 4 FREE
the modem may have gone faulty so if your isp provided it ask them to replace it if the modem is in warranty period and if your isp provides internet connection through the phone line then first please try plugging the modem on main socket in with an adsl filter plugged in and if this is not the case then problem is definately the line through which the broadband signal come to your place which is suppose to be sorted out by your isp.
If the Internet light is off it means you are not either authenticated at your provider or your configurations are wrong on the modem. If you go to your command prompt and type ipconfig and check your IP address and your default gateway. The IP address on your default gateway would be your router put that IP address on your browser and should be able to see your modem setting and any error messages that could help resolve your issue
presuming that the router moved with you the telephone line socket could be too far away from the BT socket or is not correctly wired. if you have not moved the router then you need to buy a booster
make sure your ethernet port is set to 'obtain address' and 'DNS' automatically (IE use DCHP and not static IP address) The software should be able to 'find' the zoom modem then.
