Repair part unavailable

Our TV started to turn off immediately after turning it on and would continue this cycle. We took it to the repair shop and was told that the MAV board was bad but the part was unavailable and therefore irrepairable. Any advice?

The problem is that the TV would turn on and off. The set also appears to have a very high level of static coming from the screen when it is on.

Identical problem. One morning my set is just fine, that afternoon, I turn it on and it then turns itself off.

The servicr is correct that the MAV board is no longer available, but what is the problem with the set? That board in mostly an input board. Please describe the problem, perhaps we can fix the board.

With no other symptom, this is likely to be an over-voltage problem inside the set. I'll have to research this one a bit and get back to you. This is repairable without too much expense I think.

TV Repair. Samsung Model #UN75J6300AFXZA version UH03 - manufactured Oct 2016. TV continues to turn on and off when I hit any button on the remote

If you are handy enough to take the back off the set, look at the caps (capacitors) on the main board, I had 4 popped on my samsung with a similar problem. $4 repair.

My ml320 starts drives then speedo drops but engine ticks over no excelleration turn off then starts again noprobs this can happen 3/4/5 times while driving

my 2003 430 CLK CONVERTIBLE had a similar problem - started fine drove as far as you wanted to drive then wouldn't start again until 3 cycles of engine turn over and sometimes it would start driving 10 miles an hour when you least expect it! In my case, it was a camshaft sensor. There are 2. Only one of mine had failed. While I am handy, I was immediately over my head and took it to my excellent independent Mercedes repair shop. About a $250 repair.

Wont turn on

If parts are unavailable because your unit is too old, then all you can do is buy a replacement unit.

Magnavox 37MF321D/37. suddenly just shut off and would not turn back on, no blinking green light nothing!

Price the board first and then decide, I fix these in our shop but do not like or enjoy working on them at all.

My Philips 36'' CRT TV won't turn on.

Hi - Yes. There are high voltage components in your CRT TV that only a certified TV repair shop should repair. And the cost of that would likely be over $100 so you are definitely better off getting a new LCD TV. You will also save a great deal of electricity with your new TV, my 55" only uses $19 worth of electricity a year. And the picture is much better as well.
Have fun shopping!

I have a lg plasma, and the problem is it comes on for about 1 second then shuts off. repair shop says its the power supply? what do you think?

If the repair shop says it is powerboard it means they already took a look at the TV and you dont need to worry about it.
If you have any doubt please post the sympton here (detailed) and I can tell you for sure what the TV needs.
I need to know what the led does and how it does.

Turned tv on, heard a pop, no picture, standby light blinks conti

POP goes a fuse in your power supply or maybe even a capacitor you need to have this repaired unplug this immediately. Take it to a local repair shop to have it fixed.

Maybe try removing the dust filter on the back and cleaning it. If I recall correctly the TV won't turn on unless the filter is clean and fully snapped back into position.
