I bought the trail virsion of Microsoft office 2003 for my business. We closed the business in 2005 then my computer crashed. I do not have the product key to reinstall my software.

Usually when you purchase a software online the license key is being sent to the email. If you don't have it on your email you may want to call the software vendor.. in this case Microsoft.

How ever, you could email microsoft support and beg help. Not having this problem, don't know pos ans.
But it is worth trying. If there is a solution, you will be asked to verify your purchase details when were bought, date etc. If you can't provide "Zilt"
When you bought your computer it was loaded with a trail version to get the full version you must purchase the product. Then they will give you a product key to unlock the program.
Close office application on tne computer where you have installed office Go to this following location C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\OFFICE\DATA
Windows vista : C: \program data\microsoft\office\data
Delte all opa12.dat files from the data folder
Open Office application > While opening office applicaiton it will prompt for activation > Select the option which says activate office over the telephone > Call the telephone number respective to your country > Read the installation ID to Activation team they will give another set of numbers typ it in emty box > Click on close .
You are good to go with office 2007
im having the same problem!!!! im trying to finish my paper for my geograhy class. but theres a pop up that wont let me for to my work tht i've already done...its telling me to vlivk ok, and then close open dialoge boxes to continue! WHAT DO I DO?????
Where were you saving the old Excel files to: c:\my documents for example. Is your new Excel saving or retrieving documents from the same location? If not, it will look like the old files are gone, when Excel is simply looking in the wrong place.
An installation won't wipe out data files--they're in two different locations. If you do a global wildcard search (*.xls) you will probably find them.
