I need to enter simulation mode on Sharp MX-M260N. Also, I am looking for the MIB code to enable/disable copier via SNMP

Hi,
The error you have is a miscommunication between the PCB's within the copier.
To reset the machine you will need to enter simulation mode.
Make sure the machine is in COPY mode.
You need to press the following 4 keys in quick succession:
#*C*
Once in simulation mode enter 16 & press the copy start key.
Then press EXECUTE, then YES then press the CA key.
The machine will then restart.
IMPORTANT! Do not enter any other simulations as this could render the copier inoperable.
This will reset the U2 error. If the code is still there after resetting the machine then it is likely you have a PCB failure which will require the intervention of an authorised dealer.

2. Canceling the simulation mode
When the clear all key is pressed, the simulation mode is cancelled.
When the interruption key is pressed, the process is interrupted and the
screen returns to the sub code entering display.

* After canceling the simulation mode, be sure to turn OFF/ON the
power and check the operation.

Note: If the machine is terminated by a jam error or paper empty during copying in the adjustment by the simulation, recopying is required.

DO NOT CONTINUE RESET AS THIS CAN CAUSE A FIRE AND RUIN A PERFECTLY GOOD DAY. REPLACE THE FUSER UNIT

Try this while you're at it.
# * C * to enter the simulation mode.
Simulation 66-10 is the image memory clear which clears the print/scan/fax memory. DO NOT EXECUTE AND OTHER SORT OF CLEARS IN THE MENU.

To enter simulation mode you need to press the following 4 buttons in quick succession:
# * C *
The # & * keys are to the left & right, respectively, of the zero key,
the C key is the red C to the right of the number 3 key.

The code refers to a toner motor lock error, probably caused by a blocked toner cartridge. If you have a replacement toner cartridge, power the machine off, replace the cartridge & power the machine back on. If the code remains then it may need resetting via the simulation mode. To enter simulation mode, press the following 4 keys in sequence #*C*

then enter 14, press the copy key, then press the CA key. The machine should reboot.

The code refers to tray 2 not lifting the paper correctly. Usually caused by paper being trapped in & around the rear of the paper cassette. If you completely remove the cassette from the machine & check to see if paper has been trapped. Also it can be caused by the paper being folded or creased in the paper tray. To reset the error code, make sure the machine is in COPY mode, enter simulation mode by pressing the keys the following 4 keys in sequence: # * C*
The machine should now be in simulation mode. Enter 17 then press copy start key. On the screen, press execute, then YES then press the CA key. The machine should then reboot.

1) Copy mode key ON → Program key ON → Asterisk (*) key
ON → CLEAR key ON → Asterisk (*) key ON → Ready for input of a main code of simulation
enter 14
accpet yes clear..
machine should restart.
You may have to have a tech look into why this is jamming...

To enter simulation mode to reset errors enter this sequence on keypad.
P, * , CA , P then enter sim # 14 to reset code.
press " custom settings" button to return to previous menu and CA to exit sim mode.
