Clx-3175 laser printer always results in a paper jam -why? how to fix it? Help help please

The maximum paper weight that should be used on the CLX-3175 is 163gsm, so if you use thicker paper it would jam.

Unfortunately, once you install a firmware upgrade it is permanent. Driver updates can be reversed but not firmware. That is why you should always have a definite reason for upgrading the firmware.

you must get all the paper out as all the sensours will pick up paper feed problems and read it as a jam

The limit switches are just flags that block or unblock photo sensors. Try blowing the printer out with some canned air, paper dust on these sensors is a common cause of these problems.

If not picking up the paper then it the Pick-up Roller just above where the paper tray is. Remove the paper Tray and Tip Printer back so you can see under the Printer. Take some rubbing alcohol and clean off the rubber roller

That model has a problem with the exit sensor, it gives false jam errors. It is in the upper left side above the fuser. The part number is 0604-001393 and I believe www.precisionroller.com has the part.

Has anyone resolved this problem? I am having the same problem.
