Hi,
Make sure that the fans are working at proper speed (not stuck or slow).
Secondly, heat sink could be clogged due to dust or not properly seated. Clean it if required. You may remove it, clean its fins and replace it back (for both processors if required) . Don't forget to apply THERMAL PASTE between the heat sink and the processor (If you remove the heat sink). The Thermal paste conduct the heat from the processor to heat sink which is then dissipated into air by the processor fan. You may also consider adding an additional fan, if required.

Also, place the PC at a well ventilated location so that the cool air enters it from the front and warm air leaves from the back.

IBM x3400 Server power off after half an hour(?)?

I would check all fans first to see if it is overheating. If you open the side case there should be some diagnostic leds you can refer to regarding which components are working or not working.

BUT AFTER TURN ON IT ABLE TO WORK FOR A SHORT TIME AND TURN OFF AGAIN PLEASE HELP

Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.
