If you click one area on the screen and the phone selects another area then you might need to change the touch screen. I happened to me because I let my phone fall to the floor. I did the change for $30.

CHECK UR DATA CABLE DRIVER IN UR PC
FOR EXAMPLE CONTROL PANNEL---- SYSTEM---HARDWARE---DEVICE MANAGER
IF THEIR IS AN (!) MARK MEAN UR DRIVER NOT PROPLY INSTAL
SO INSTAL DRIVER
OR DOWNLOAD NEW VERSION KIES IT WILL WORK
its simple.. its touch screen might have got some minor tamper and thats why it not working.. u just visit to samsung service centre or go to any local repair shop to get the touch replaced

The touchscreen connector has come loose.
It's a small flatcable which connects the digitizer (touch screen) with the pcb on the back of the screen.
It's repairable, however you need to disassemble the complete phone.
