Hi...my husband tried to fold our quinny buzz 3 with the seat still locked into position. He didn't remove the seat first and I don't know how he even managed to fold it with the seat still in. Anyway...it seems now something is broken as the buggy is collapsing on me when I take the baby out for a walk. Obviously this causes distress to me and baby and we are wondering if we can fix this problem ourselves. Thanks

This is not an issue you can repair yourselves, the chassis must come to our engineers for inspection and repair work required. If you are a UK customer call 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30 to book it in for this. Standard charge is 72GBP and includes courier collection and delivery.

Quinny buz won't collapse

Hi

We wouldn't advise anything apart from cleaning the chassis, as a build up of dirt and debris on the chassis would cause friction and make it difficult when trying to fold. Clean with furniture polish or dry Teflon spray and a soft cloth - don't use an oil based lubricant.

Other than that we'd recommend you contact the customer care team at [email protected] for assistance.

Does the new quinny zapp extra hood fit onto the old style zapp? Or any other quinny hood? I don't mind removing it before folding.

Hi

No the new Quinny Zapp Xtra sun canopy is part of the seat fabric.

If you wish to turn your standard Quinny Zapp into a Quinny Zapp Xtra you need to purchase the Quinny Zapp Xtra seat unit as an accessory from your local retailer as it will have the seat frame and the adaptors required to fit it into the chassis you have.

Visit www.quinny.com to find your nearest retailer.

My Quinny Buzz creaks and squeaks all the time, especially on long walks. It sounds like the noise is coming from the plastic housing where the seat clips on. Is there anyway to solve this annoying...

Good Morning

If the Buzz chassis is definitely correctly unfolded and locked into position and you hear these noises it should come to the engineers for full inspection.

Sometimes people force the chassis into the fold position without correctly unlocking it first and this can break the knuckle joints, causing noise when in use. If you're satisfied you haven't done this, full inspection and any repair work required will be covered under warranty if the product is under 2 years old - simply return it to your retailer with your proof of purchase.

Hello, I recently bought a quinny buzz 3 (second hand) and its very difficult to collapse the frame, but it's easy to open it back up. What would I need to do to fix the problem?

Good Evening

It sounds as though you're not quite depressing the fold buttons fully when trying to collapse it, so you're pushing against the natural spring of the chassis which is making it difficult.

The Buzz is easiest to fold when you're standing in front of it. Either remove the seat unit, or make sure it is forward facing and in the upright position before you start. Swivel the front wheel straight and lock it into position. Standing in front of the Buzz, push the left side button in until you can't make it go any further, then roll the right button toward you as far as possible. It should only require a small amount of pressure to fold the unit, but remember, due to the style of the automatic unfold you are working against it to fold it up. If you hear any clicks, pops or creaks, don't force it as you'll break the fold knuckles.

If this still doesn't work, give the chassis a good, thorough clean to make sure no dirt or debris is causing the problem. Use a dry Teflon spray (found in the laundry aisle of most supermarkets) or normal furnature polish with a soft dry cloth and give the whole chassis a thorough cleaning. Then as you're folding it down, follow the black plastic down the central tube as it goes toward the front wheel unit to make sure its totally clean. This should make it smoother to fold.

Failing that, the product will need to be returned to the engineers for inspection - which country are you in?

Trouble opening and collapsing a quinny stroller

The Quinny Buzz can only be folded/unfolded with the seat in the most upright position facing forward. If this is the case and it won't unfold, remove the seat first by pushing down the two grey release buttons either side of the frame. It may be the case that the gas strut (automatic close/opening mechanism) is seized and will need replacing. This can only be done by Dorel UK 01842 763 281 as it is a pressurised unit. Hope this helps
