I think this mode have a wireless connection for the mouse and keyboard..and remember that all wireless devices works on batteries..so check to see if they still work ..or change them ..After that take a look at the receiver ..it should have a button on it and once pressed it should blink and look for devices..bring the keyboard and mouse near the receiver for to be found ..and this way pair them ..After finish ..it will work ..
Why can't you just connect the keyboard and mouse to the usb ports on the machine?
You should be able to find the part on ebay or Acer parts for that matter.
I hope this helped.
Good luck and have a fantastic day.
Need more information but normally you would hook up the infrared device or usb device to the laptop. Then you would make sure that the keyboard and mouse has new batteries in it. At that point windows should recognize the mouse and keyboard. You may have to push on the connect buttons on the keyboad or mouse to get the laptop to recognize them.
Other then that its not really hard. Just time consuming if it doesn't take right away. Most of the time you don't need software installed unless the manual tells you to install them because windows will recognize them.
First thing you need to do is to know that the USB ports of your laptop is really working. Insert another usb devices or storage such a flash disk. If the flash disk being inserted is not recognized by the system then the usb port you had inserted is malfunctioning or it is defective. But if the other usb devices like the flash disk is working then your new bought mouse is defective. Try to plug the usb mouse to the other ports available in your laptop.
This is not so easy, and depends on how skilled you are in configuring pc's, but here i go:
go to Control panel> system>system properties> device manager
in this screen you can find information about stuff like what devices are recognized by your pc.
try and seek wether your ps2 devices are recognized an if so, if the system can control them to.
if not it might also be your usb ports or similar ports that aren't decently controled and por recognized by your pc, so make sure they work fien to by trying other devices on the same ports.
i had the same problem. apart from keyboard and mousepad, all usb weren't working at all... except the pcmcia slot. so i bought a pcmcia usb card and plugged in the usb mouse and keyboard in those slots. it works! at least on my aspire 5100
Hi,
I hope i can help resolve your problem for you.
this may be a problem relating to your system device driver files.
Try This:-
go to My Computer/Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager. at the bottom of the page you will see USB.
If you have any yellow symbols ( exclamation Marks ) then the driver has been corrupted, or installed incorrectly.
if you have a system restore disk. this may solve the problem for you. or recovery cd.
If you require further assistance, please ask.
If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.
