I bought a Helping Hands lock for my son's gym locker. The instructions are too small for me to read. the combination is probably the six larger digits on the back of the lock. I can read a few of the words, but not enough t figure out how to open it and use it.

Do you take the Ipod with you into the gym?
Usually the range of the is limited because they use Bluetooth.
Get out of range no work.
Will not work if Ipod is in locker..

If there is a place on the back of the lock to insert a small key, then contact whoever is in charge of issuing locks to open it for you.

sometimes the dial rings slip on these locks and sometimes it is just the spring release is stuck. you can try and spray some lube down into the lock and let it sit for awhile,, try the combo again,, if that does not work then you might consider maybe replacing the lock with something newer and more reliable.

Warning 1: this is a procedure for adults, not children - you may accidentally stab your own fingers.
Warning 2: this procedure might ruin the cocking bolt completely.
You'll need a small phillips head screw driver, two small flat-blade screw drivers, dental floss and four hands.
1) One end of the cocking bolt is fixed - leave this alone.
Remove the two screws from the inside face of the rotating end cap - this allows the outer cap to be removed.
The inner cap (still on the bolt) has four teeth that protrude into a recess around the metal bolt.
Warning 3: be extremely careful during the next step as the teeth may snap off completely and fingers could get hurt.
2) Using one of you four hands, hold the bolt upright on a sturdy table (with the fixed cap down) .
Simultaneously use the two flat-blade screw drivers to carefully lever one pair of opposite teeth out of the recess.
Whilst holding the levered the teeth out, firmly push the inner cap further down the bolt (down toward the fixed
end).
3) Wrap dental floss (or similarly stout, fine cord) around and around the recess to pack it out until it is flush with the outer diameter of the metal bolt - this is to stop the teeth locking back in place.
4) Slide the inner cap up and off.
Reassemble the cap.
Remove the dental floss.
Remind your son about the importance of reading the instructions first (just as you've always done yourself ;-).

How to reset or change your lock combination:

• 1. Enter "zero" six times.
• 2. Enter your existing six (6) digit combination one time. (or 123456, factory default if you haven't changed the combination yet.
• 3. Enter your NEW six (6) digit combination two times.
• 4. If a mistake is made wait thirty (30) seconds and repeat steps 1 - 3.
• 5. Test lock operation several times before closing the door.

CAUTION: When selecting a combination do not use birthday or other predictable data that could give correlation between the user and combination.

• Valid Combination Entry - Double signal after valid six (6) digit combination is entered.
• Invalid Combination Entry - Triple signal indicates the old combination is still valid.

had your looking for a combo, throw it out. no way to find the combo for it. serial only refers to the model of the lock. its like asking for a part for " my ford truck " not enough info.

when I went to school we were required to give our school the combination in the event of any emergency. If you did not have to do this and can not find your combination anywhere then your only alternative is to consult a locksmith and they will be able to get you your combo. Manufacturers will not give this out for security reasons and neither will a locksmith unless you call them to come out and can verify it is your lock. If the service charge is going to cost more than a new lock have your janitor or maintenance man cut the lock off for you and put a new lock on. I hope this helps.
