Hi

Scanning takes an image on a document on the scanner's platten and converts it to a digital file format stored on your computer.

Copying is scanning + printing.

To copy, you do not need to separately scan first and then print. Just select how many copies you need on the number pad, then press either the Black or the Colour COPY buttons on the scanner (or open the printer's/scanner's software and click on COPY), while it's connected to the computer and the document will automatically be scanned and printed (copied).

My HP LaserJet M1005 Printer show Scanner error 12 and not work any copy print scan please choose a solvation

Remove: Operation panel, flat bed glass & scan head. Observe scan head mechanism drive gear placing pinion, if its broken replace the driver gear mechanism, if it is not available, make a metal pinion & fix there, but if you fails in first attempt, no second chance. Bee careful..best of luck...

I was scanning documents 8.5x11 into memory stick using microsoft word just stopped error came up 3015 hp laser jet all in one it scans otherwise except to microsoft word

Next time do not scan directly into an external memory device. Scan first into your hard drive and then copy/move it into your external memory device. It puts a kind of stress on the system; it is processing and copying at the same time.


Seems the stress has broken down your memory stick. To confirm if your memory stick is fully functional, check to see if you still see its icon under My computer. If you do try to copy any file into it. If it copies successfully, it means it is still OK. Then scan into the computer first then transfer into your memory stick. If however, it fails to copy, it means the memory stick is affect. Then you need to know to what extent? At least you need to know it you can recover your memory stick.

To do this, right click on the memory stick icon (under My Computer) and select "format." The Format dialogue box pops up. Format the memory stick. If it formats successfully, your memory stick is recovered. But it fails to format, you have lost your memory stick.

Copy and scan

Hi-

Have you tried cleaning the glass and going over to the settigs on the printer itself? YOu can use a damp cloth to clean the glass and wipex solution, but if all fails then there is something wrong with the bulb itself already. If you have a warranty for it you can call epson for replacement. if you dont have the warranty anymore then have it service or call them as well and ask for a loyalty site where you can purchase a new one for a discounted price. US only though

Printer will not copy

It Does keep asking if it fails to get it right, usually it fails to get scan of alignment page completed correctly because it fails to see one of the colours printed on its alignment page correctly,
I would guess that you should change colour cartridge as well (these I have seen deplete themselves trying print black when black ink is not present.

There is also a way of telling your printer to forget about alignment would you like to know how......Press and hold the Setup button, and then press Options (or Copy Options ).
