In case of your HP Compaq laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.
You Have to Remove RTC battery ( Cmos ) battery. Wait approximately 5 minutes Replace the RTC battery and reassemble the computer Connect Ac Power to the computer. Do not reinsert any batteries at this time Turn On the computer
all the passwords and all the cmos setting have be cleared.
you will have to locate the cmos battery and remove it and keep it aside for 10 sec and reconnect it and it should solv the problem make sure the laptop it disconnected from aapter and battery .

to clear cosmos(reset bios) remove rtc battery for a few minutes then replace ;restoring bios to factory set.
battery looks like large digital watch battery.usually located(but not always) underneath keyboard.
Go thro safe mode and delete the password or create a new account ... or if u have given password to bios .. just remove the CMOS battery and put it again after ten to twenty minutes and restart ...
