Here are the most common reasons your Electrolux washing machine is leaking water - and the parts & instructions to fix the problem yourself.

Slip a sheet of newspaper under the bottom of the machine and it will indicate the area. If is does it when the machine is not running. My guess is that it is around the pump because some water always sits there, so either the pump body or the drain hose itself.

Put a sheet of newspaper under the machine until it starts leaking. Turn off and pump out the water by setting to spin. The newspaper will give you a rough location of where the leak is. Pull the machine out and tilt it back against the wall. Have someone steady the machine whilst you look underneath with a flashlight to locate which hose is leaking. Then you can Google

and find the part.

Or just call for service.

Slide a couple of sheets of newspaper under the washer. Run the washer for 5 minutes and pull the paper out. This will show you the area where the leak is. Wait until the cycle finishes, pull the washer out and lean it against the wall. Have someone steady it whilst you look underneath with a flashlight. Likely to be a loose joint or a perished hose.

sounds like the pump seal has gone in which case needs a new pump. Put a newspaper under it this helps to see exactly where the leak is coming from .......good luck

Water leaking from tub seal into motor possibly? Try doing spin with dry newspaper under the machine and check for leaks. Could also possibly be water heater element loose or breaking down - leaks from drain hose or water pump body into windings? Dry news paper test should highlight where leaks are coming from.
!0 years old is ancient for a machine and you might consider replacement rather than a repair which will only be throwing good money after bad. Do you drive a 10 year old car? if you do, you expect repair bills to mount up! same with washer. I bet it doesn't owe you much!
