there is no ground wire in the harness, the metal braided strap is the ground.
use a ring terminal, speed clip, and screw to attach the ground wire from new radio
when replacing infinity radios and speakers, there are 4 wires instead of 2 at the speaker plug. the large gauge blue and black wires are the power supply for the amp, the other 2 are signal wires from the
deck and will match up to the wire color codes above. simply cap off the power and ground and use the other 2 for speaker leads.
One thing i hate to see is someone who just hacks off the plugs behind the radio because they are too cheap/lazy/dumb to buy a wire harness adapter for the nice new aftermarket
deck they just bought. ive seen everything from masking
tape to house wire nuts used to connect wires, and they never last.
there is only 1 reliable permanent way to connect wires together - SOLDER AND SHRINK WRAP!!! whether you're connecting wiring for a radio, fog lights, repairing a cut wire, etc solder those wires, you'll be glad you did when you never have a problem with that circuit again.
