You probably can't buy an AGP card now since they are so old. Performance will be very poor no matter what card you use. You won't be able to run any modern games on it since the CPU, RAM etc will also be very poor. Put any old AGP card in it and just use it for web browsing and simple tasks. Otherwise, it's time to upgrade for sure.

maybe you can get the drivers from anther souce maybe the network card was used in a dell or hp system.

on the acer goto start and RIGHT CLICK on my computer or computer(vista+) choose properties

goto hardware then device manageer , or in vista just device manager.

in device manager look for network adapters expand the folder and see what exact type of card it is and do a search for that in google on another pc.

like mine is an intel 82566dc gigabit network connection

so i do a google search for "intel 82566dc gigabit network connection drivers"

if you still cant find it when you repost your question add the info for the network controller in the description.

I am assuming you have Windows XP. If not, please let me know and I will post seperate instructions.

First, make sure you have the latest windows update. This is very important because it adds the BUS add-on for the sound and LAN. Since you cannot get online, you will need to do a manual download and save to a cdrom, external hard drive or flash drive.

This will take about 30 minutes to install and reboot.

Once complete, download the chipset driver here. The audio and LAN are integrated on the motherboard and this all-in-one chipset driver will automatically install them to computer.

You can see if you need additional drivers by going to start menu and right clicking on my computer. Hit properties and click on device manager tab. This will bring up devices. Any device that has a yellow question mark beside it will need to be downloaded as well.

Your modem in your computer is the 56K (telephone not broadband)
For your Local Area Network you want the network drivers. It will not harm anything if you download drivers for the modem or network because when you set up your local network it will internally switch of the modem and use the network.
