Acer Veriton - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

Change the power supply and restart your pc. This will happen when the power supply has gone bad. It sends power to low voltage items but not the needed voltage to power the system on.

Good Luck

If you have windows 7 and windows 8, your computer must be running in VGA driver by default, as no driver is present, run windows update,
it will install all the required updates automatically .
Or you can go to device manager in system under control panel,
and manually update driver searching from internet.

Unplug all power cables and check for bad connections. Reconnect all cables. Does the power supply fan rotate? Yes or No? Looking through the vented left side of the tower with the power cable plugged in do you see an LED lit? If no fan spinning in the power supply and no LED lit, then I suggest you change the power supply. Either do it yourself (very easy to do or have a tech shop do it for you - it's cheaper to do it yourself).

1. Un-plug all power cables.
2. Unscrew side panels.
3. Count how many of each type of power cable is required for on board devices.
4. Calculate power requirements by watts.
5. Purchase new power supply that has the cables you require and the required wattage to support your devices.
6. Unplug all power cables inside.
7. Plug in new power supply.
8. Plug in power cable first before turning on the computer. The green LED on the motherboard should come on. Congrats you have power.
9. Turn on the computer.
10. Enjoy!

Check that the speaker cable is plugged into the GREEN ringed "Speaker" jack (for a normal stereo sound set up). Check that the speaker isn't muted in system tray. Right click the speaker in the system tray. Click Volume Control Options and make sure you have the analog Realtek Audio selected - not any HDMI or Digital output. Open "Control Panel" in Windows. Open "Device Manager" found in the "Hardware and Sound" heading. Locate "Sound, Video.." Make sure there is no small icon over it to indicate that there is a problem. If there is, click the triangle to the left and open "Realtek.." Right click it and select properties. Click the Driver tab and then "Uninstall" If an option to remove files is presented - select it, too. Click OK to uninstall. Reboot if prompted. Allow Windows to find the "new" Realtek hardware and download drivers from Live Update. Sound should be restored. Make sure that you have selected Analog
