I have a 97 honda shadow. It starts fine but once it warms up it starts to puke out. i have pulled carbs and cleaned...no change. Any ideas?

Generally when the engines work better cold then hot, the guess would be the mixture is too rich.
I believe these are variable venturi carbs, and if you raise the dashpots slightly, it should cause a slight increase in engine speed. If it does not, then the mixture is too rich, and the jets need to be raised slightly, if possible. Of the tapered needles could be worn and needing replacement.
Of course there is also always the possibility of clogged fuel filter, tank pickup, or condenser going bad and heating up.
