2008 r6 not starting

Hi are u sure the fuel is getting to the carbs eg the fuel switch on some bike some have a solenoid ,follow it along disconnect connector test with muilti meter , also look at the fuel filter and you see fuel passing through , the carbs can jam up with aluminium oxide on the injector side the fuel intake side there's a float and float needle , the oxide may be blocking the fuel getting through ,if there a hint of oxide you need to clean all and the injectors ,next the CDI but you said new engine fitted ,is it the same if not then the CDI is the wrong one eg the timing is electronic so a 535 xv will have different timing to 1100 xv so hope this was some help try down loading the manual

Had front-end collision damage fixed and drove the 1997 grand caravan home; turned it off; and later it wouldn't start. Turns over ok, but not getting gas. I think it is the fuel pump relaty. There...

There is a relay for the fuel pump its controled by thhe ASD relay sure you plug a new relay or even swap it out with other relay in the distribution area but you need to make sure why you are not getting fuel check thhe fuel pump fuse is it open if it is replace it and does it blow easy now turn the key and cycle the switch you should hear the fuel pump humming if it doesnt go ahead find the relay take thhe relay cover out and expose the switch are and put it back in its socket key on or off if you collapse the realy to close thhe switch you should hear the fuel pump running if it doesnt you either have a failed fuel pump a bad connection or something not allowing the ASD to engage

I had my spark plugs changed today and now my car won't start it will turn over but won't start

fuel problem or spark problem neither is associated with a change in sparkplug unless you had a sever misfire that you let go for a long time to cause thhe igition module to fail.and this include the crank sensor that is underneath the ignition module. cycle the key you should hear a humm at the fuel tank and that is the fuel pump working if you hear the fuel pump then more than likely you will need to correct for spark ignition module and crank sensor

If the cdi is fried will the bike turn over at all? it's got a new fuel pump and coils and will turn over but won't grab and run.

Capacitor Discharge Ignition modules control the spark timing to the engine based on the inputs received from various sensors. There will be no spark if the CDI is bad
