If it's a Chinese gauge the rpm sense wire goes to the ground side of one coil, not the hot side. The red is hot and the green was ground on the Chinese gauge I bought. Do a search on the net under "Wiring Problem with Chinese Speedometer" several good articles on these gauges. The black was key hot and the red was memory constant hot on my gauges. If you reverse them whatever you program will disappear when you turn the key off. Other wires are the rpm sense and the inside light.

they do not work together, your tacometer is eletric meter that reads the rpms the engine is turning. the speedometer is mechanical and shows how fast your traveling down the road.

2007 Suzuki GSX-R 600 stalling

Hey Kevin,..Sounds like the charging system is not working at all.. DO NOT jump start this will a car ..TOO many amps!! Get one of your friends to help you... get a multimeter(analog or digital).. set it to read up to over 20 volts DC...crank the bike, check the voltage at the battery (WITHOUT the booster/jumper connected).. it should read at least 13.5 - 13.8 volts at 3000 rpm..If you are getting any lower.. its time for trouble shooting the charging system...generator, voltage regulator, rectifier, etc.. I can go into what you need to do... not enough space.. you need one of these...(or take it to a qualified professional)

The speedometer gauge and RPM gauge is not working. The speedometer gauge goes to the max while I am driving. The car itself seems to be running ok. Help! It is a Yukon Denali 2005.

I suspect that your sender is malfunctioning. Todays speedometers and RPM is sent from a sensor/sender near the drive shaft. A magnet on the drive shaft is sensed and the revolutions are converted to RPM and speed.
