When the red light comes on, eg (F1) use these fault codes to find your problem. To extract the codes from the computer system, there is a two pinned connector hanging out of the wiring harness, on the left hand rear of the bike, (say above the pillion foot peg under rear trim. Be sure not to confuse the other connector used by the Suzuki Workshop Mechanics, as this has four or five wires to the connector) After locating the one with only two wires at the back, use a split pin or paper clip to bridge the two wires togeather and turn the ignition to the ON position. You should now be able to read the code on the console. The fault codes are as follows,,
**** GSXR Fuel Injection (FI) Code List:*****
C14 - THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
C15 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR C21 - INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
C22 - ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SENSOR
C23 - TIPOVER SENSOR
C24 - IGNITION SIGNAL #1
C25 - IGNITION SIGNAL #2
C26 - IGNITION SIGNAL #3
C27 - IGNITION SIGNAL #4
C28 - SECONDARY THROTTLE VALVE ACTUATOR C29 - SECONDARY THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR C30 - SECONDARY THROTTLE CONTROL UNIT
C31 - GEAR POSITION SENSOR
C32 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #1
C33 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #2
C34 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #3
C35 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #4
C41 - FUEL PUMP CONTROL SYSTEM

SOURCE: suzuki gsxr k6 600 fuel injectors problems

The display is really FI as in Fuel Injection. The fuel injection computer has sensed a fault in the Injection system. You will need to ride the bike to a dealer and have them read the fault codes. It is probably just something minor. Major faults will not allow the bike to run. You will not hurt the bike if you ride it.

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

I just had the same problem 2004 gsxr 750. After massive troubleshooting and time I found out it was the gauge. So I then ebayed a gauge on ebay and bought on for 290 dollars. Speedo now works. I am just off on the actual speed, need to by a speedo healer.

You need to have it in dealer mode with F1 blinking and get the code #. That code will show what is wrong.

What's an f1 and f2 code mean???

Hello,

The F1 code means that a button on the touchpad is stuck

The F2 means that the oven tempature was at least 100 degrees over what the temp it was set to was

the F1 will come sometimes if the ribbon connection on the touchpad doesnt fit well into the control board and other times it comes because the touchpad is defective

the F2 comes up because the control has measures the temp and thinks that when it set as lets say fro instiance 350 degrees the control thinks the temp ahs reached 450 degrees(100 plus over) typically the thing wrong when the F2 comes up is the oven sensor at room temp to be between 1060-1100 ohms

However if you are getting both error codes at the same time the only thing common to both is the oven control and if both at the same time i suspect the control is the problem

Unit has been flashing F1 and now doesn't seem to complete the cycle. Just keeps running.

Hello,

The F1 error codes is a water heat fault, the control has determined that within 60 minutes that the correct water temp.has not been reached

The possible causes of that are

A burnt out heat element

A burnt out thermostat

My 2000 Toyota Echo has the red engine temp light flashing. I checked the coolant container about an hour after I parked in the shade of my house. (95 degrees here today and I was driving on the highway...

a flashing check engine light (CEL) is a warning to stop driving-one that is on steady (not blinking) means something is wrong, but blinking is BAD-make sure it is completely cooled down, and fill the overflow/surge tank, start it up (use 50/50 antifreeze) and let it idle until the engine temp is all the way up-this can take 10-15 minutes, make sure the heater is on high temp setting and the fan is on-look at the temp gauge if it has one to see if it looks normal. If all looks good, fill the tank to the FULL mark (or a hair above it) and put the tank cap on tight. Drive the car for about 10 minutes, and pay attention to the temp gauge-if it looks good, and the engine is alright, the CEL probably with either not light or will go off by itself.

It is possible you did damage driving it with a flashing CEL, however-if so look for leaks, smoke out of the exhaust, poor running/performance, or more ominous signs of trouble like air bubbles in the overflow tank, oil in the antifreeze of antifreeze in the oil-aluminum engines do NOT tolerate overheating, if you ever see a high temp gauge and/or a flashing CEL-STOP and get it checked out, you will save yourself a lot of money being prudent.

I HAVE A 2003 SATURN ION. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. I HAD THE CAR HOOKED UP TO AN ANALYZER AND IT COMES UP WITH A MAP SENSOR CODE. I REPLACED THE MAP SENSOR AND THE PROBLEM DID NOT GO AWAY....

On your vehicle when the Check engine light comes on and a code is store, the driver can retrieve the codes themselves with the onboard diagnostics. Put the key in the on position and watch for the light. The light will blink in a code .FOR EXAMPLE:
If the light blinks 4 flashes then a pause then 3 flashes then .......yep code 43. Easy enough.
Oh yea, by the way A bad intake manifold gasket would be a constant problem which would cause a vacuum leak. ( That's if it effected engine performance) A vacuum leak would be sensed at the Oxygen sensor as a lean condition. Code 44

Try the codes yourself

Washer flashes f 1 and will not start

The range/stove fault code page....
My Range is flashing a "F" something.....what does this mean??

Some terms used on this page...ERC - Electronic Range Control. Watchdog - a combination of hardware and software which acts as an internal scheme, disconnecting the systems output from the process in the event of a malfunction. Oven temperature sensor - What a common sensor or temp sensor looks like.

Always remember Electricity is dangerous and should be treated with respect.
Please pick a topic by Make and or problem...hope you find this helpful :-)
A tip for the famous F1 fault code entr_anm.gif The biggest Fault Codes list that I am aware of! What does an oven temp sensor look like? Some info and tips on oven temp sensors
Newer 4 digit fault codes - Maytag, JennAir, Magic Chef Newer Frigidaire fault codes new25.gif Some newer GE built in oven fault codes are here. Newest Hamilton built GE clock fault codes are here. I have some of my own hand written fault codes, here and some more here. The Maytag Gemini range fault codes are on this page. The Maytag Accellis range codes are on this page. traffic_record.php?lc=024041009290002517 A tip:The supplier recently reversed the display areas for the clocks. Therefore you may find an F1-E0 code or E0-F1 code depending on the model. They both mean the same thing, and depending on the model determines the code reference, and location of the F code. Different manufacturer of the clocks caused this.

How to test many brands of Ranges that are flashing a F1 fault code: You have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad.
  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.
NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one part. * We have seen a few of the newer Maytag ranges with a F1 fault code and the problem was the oven temp sensor, check carefully the wires to and from the oven temp sensor!!

Whirlpool Range Error code F1 F3

Unplug the range.
Remove the rear panel to access the temp probe.
Unplug the temp probe and test for 1100 ohms.
Test the temp probe to ground also.
Sometimes the connectors are bad.and must be direct wired.
Unplug and re-plug the ribbon connector to the ERC.
F-1 is a connection problem since you have a new control.
