SOURCE: i have a 2005 r6...just put in a new battery..bike wont start

maybe, now this is just a guess! but your starter shaft is just spinning and not engaging properly..check starter or solenoid to starter wire connections are that they are on solid, and no corrosion, measure bat volt!!!... should read 12.4v "minimum"! if not battery is either going bad or might need a charge...correct voltage reading should be 12.7v to 13volt.

SOURCE: my 2000 plate r6 starts

recheck all the battery and wire connections, take the volt meter with you next ride, to check the bat voltage if it stops again.
The stator can develop a layer short, which can be intermittant due to heat and vibration.

I have a 99 r6 that keeps burning up the wiring what can I do to stop this from continuing to happen

There is a dead short in the wiring or a switch is shorting out. If the wires have smoked you will need to find the original short, fix it, then strip the wiring harness in the burned areas and replace any burned wires. You may need to replace a section of the wiring harness or possibly the entire wiring harness. Below is a website where you can see the harness > please rate my answer www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx

Hi I wired up my motorcycle batter the wrong way

You probably just blew a fuse, its probably behind the L/H side cover.
If you fried your wireing you would have smelt fumes/seen smoke so don't get too worried. Find the fuse box & check the main fuse

I have a motormaster 1750 inverter hard wired in my semi truck, I had the inverter turned off, I replaced all 4 batteries started the truck smelt something burning and now the breaker on the inverter...

Recommend (1) open the inverter (with battery power disconnected) - and inspect incoming cable between the power switch and the battery cable entrance. Possible that a wire overheated and shorted on the input cable.
Next (2) if problem cannot be located, go to http://search.harborfreight.com/cpisearch/web/search.do?keyword=inverter and replace it with at 2000 watt inverter for 130 bucks.

2000 Jeep Grand cherokee Laredo wont start. Engine turn over . No noise from fuel pump with ignition on. Replaced fuel pump and filter.Turn ignition on- pump did not run.Jumped the fuel pump at the pump...

sounds alot the the pcm it controls the fuel pump and ign system but the anti theft would keep it from starting because the key has a transponder in it programmed for that vehicle and that would kill all ign if triggered

1999 malibu guage cluster not working after a spark from jumping car. Replaced ignition key assembly, replaced guage cluster, checked all fuses.....still nothing. lights work, but the guages are frozen.

Unhook the battery hold the wires together for about 3 min, this should reset the cpu that runs the car. If that doesn't work check for a blown ground somewhere. Or you could have fried the guages, possible, but not likely. Don't forget to vote.
