Starting Kioti DK40 Tractor for first time in about 2+ months. It starts, but when I let off of the key it shuts off.

Question edited for clarity. We don't have a Kioti Category, or one for Tractors so left it in Cars and Trucks..

It sounds like you have a faulty ignition switch. Phone Tractor Joe and ask if he agrees. Sounds like you are missing the connection in the middle that supplies power to the ignition, but you have the connection on the next position of ignition power and the starter circuit. Check the connection block.

Jeep runs fine want shut off with key

Time to change out your ignition switch. Sounds like the internals of the switch leading to the electrical or lever part of the switch to start or shut off is broken and all you get now is a key that will turn to the off position but will not engage correctly to turn the internals to cut power to the engine.

What color wire

find the wire that has power when the key is in the run position and off when the key is off and piggyback that wire.. Normally the radio is wired into the accessories wire so that you can listen to the radio without having power run through the coil and burning it out. That wire will have power when running and when turned to the accessories position.

Turn Key and Loses Power

Hello,

When a vehicle goes completely dead if a large drain is placed on the electrical system, such as starting it, the problem usually lies either at the battery connections or where the cables connect to the vehicle. Slamming the door repeatedly is probably just jarring the loose connection back and forth. Start with this, usually the fix to a big problem is smaller than you think.

I have a 1999 Chevy Malibu LS. Occasionally when I turn the key to the off position the engine will shut down but the ignition switch appears to be in the acc. mode what causes this?

key switch could be bad.next time with the car running, keep pressure on key as if you were trying to pull it out and turn to the off position slowly, this will let you know if it is going past the lock position when you are shutting car off.The keys should come out just as you come to the off position, if they come out any earlier, the switch is bad.

My amp will only turn on if the remote wire is connected to the remote and also touching the power terminal but if you do it like that then it wont shut off when you turn the car off please help

The remote wire is meant to turn on the amp when it gets power.
Normally this is supplied by the REMOTE output on your AM/FM/CD/DVD dash device.
If the output on your car stereo is no longer providing power to the remote switch output, look for other things that only have power when the car is on.
The currend draw to the amp from the remote line is miniscule, and you can pretty much meter the fuse panel for things that only have power when the key is in the ACC or ON position, such as the in dash radio power line or some other suitable line.
Ideally you'll want something that supplies 12V in the ACC, and ON positions of the key, but not in the OFF position of the key.

It seems i am not getting any power to fuel pump, replaced pump still no power dont hear pump turn on at key on position check relays but not sure on good or not

Replace the oil pressure switch for the third wire on that sends 12 volts to the fuel pump upon turning the ignition key on to prime. Once oil pressure is achived the computer shuts that circuit off and turns on the fuel pump relay to power the pump till you shut off the engine

1989 Jeep Wrangler no power when key is in on position

Honestly, it sounds like a bad ignition coil. When they get corroded inside they will draw power on a scale much higher than anything else on the vehicle. It is a coil and it's job is to take a little power and make a lot of it. If it's only when the key is in the "run" position, that is likely the case. The only real difference between the two positions is that in the run position there is power being delivered to the ignition system. Good luck.
