sounds like fuel starvation
do you have a petcock plugging or a dirty carb?
pull the fuel line and check flow

I had a problem somewhat the same.

Make sure the air-intake boot has no holes in it.

Test the battery by jumping from another vehicle. This engine has high compression and will act as described when the battery fails to produce adaquate cranking amps. If this solves it, replace the battery and ride on.

Is ther a kill switch on a 350 warrior 1988?? wont start got sparg pulled plug sprayed starting fluid in cylinder replaced plg still wont start was riding other day and it jus shut off hasnt...

check the compression i work at btn powersports if you dont have enough compression it will not start if that dont work check the timing and if that dosent work, the valves might need to be adjusted or replaced. steve.

I have a 1998 yamaha warrior 350 that will sit and idol. But as soon as you give it gas it bogs down. what could be wrong with it?

Clutch switch behind clutch lever. Parking brake cable is attached to it. It cuts the revs if the parking brake is engaged to stop it from being reved when stoped.

have u had it serviced its suppost to have the valves and cam chain adjusted that tapping is probally one of those items seeing how it runs good and u have no other problem but you need to have your valves adjusted soon

Yamaha warrior atv [yfm 350] bogging problem

Try checking the switch for your parking brake. It is the top wire in the clutch handle boot. This wire connects to your CDI box, and restricts the RPM's while the parking brake is engauged. To find out for sure, trace the wire down to the plug under the headlight assembly and disconnect it. Now try starting you machine and give it some throttle!
