It could a bfew things fuel filters , carbon build up, bad mass air flow sensor, spark plugs, any of the o2 sensors I would try the simpliest thing wich would be a throttle body cleaning you can go to wal-mart tire lube express and get there fuel system cleaning for $18 -$20 bucks the product they use is very good I have used the both brands they have offered and I like the new brand they use valvoline it has all the goods and improvements this help with cleaning carbon build up on your plugs,o2 sensors, throttle bodyand it may turn off your check engine light unless your vehicle requires to be reset then I would once a month run texaco or chevron or bp or shell with super unleaded i full tank will keep build up down if that is not it its a process of elimination it has to do with air and fuel

My polo 1.5 TDI was making blower noise for few seconds after engine is turned off. I started my car after few days and moved only few feet then turned off engine. Should I go to service station ?

If you are talking about 1.4 TDI model year 2014+ Then the blower u hear is tha cooling fan that keeps running for some seconds after shut engine off due to the fact the DPF ( exhaust filter ) has gone into regeneration to burn all trash and due to high temperatures generated by the engine's rich fuel mixture the fan has to work for a while !!

My 2003 Toyota Camry consumes too much fuel. I run a distance of about 40km(to and fro total) and a full tank of fuel does not last more than 7 days? Is it a normal occurrence? you can send reply to...

first check your fuel lines and tank look for fuel drip lines on the tank. if ok then check on engine line pipes if ok then you will need to have the EGR checked. it send un burnt fule back into the engine to be burned. if fails it sends it out the exhaust.

My lexus ls 400 model 1991 when start gray smoke ocurr for few second then disappear

the smoke is from engine oil, it is caused by leaking valve seals , after the engine is shut down for the day oil is leaking past the valve seals and getting into the cylinders then when you start up the engine the oil is burned off, this is a common problem, and there is a couple of things you can do to help the problem with out taking the engine apart and replacing the seals, try this first at your next oil change add some Restore to the engine oil it will soften the seals and give them a little more life, if this does not cure the problem after a few 100 miles then you will need to have the seals replaced, and this is a costly repair, but you could just live with the smoke it wont hurt any thing just keep an eye on the oil

I have a noise in the fuel tank of my 1999 cadillac escalade is this noise could be cause by a bad fuel pump or a dirty fuel filter? Also when i turn my truck on some times a little biy of blue smoke comes...

as for the noise if it is a high pitched whine that you can hear while the engine is running its probably normal...most of them sound like this. it should be the same sound that comes on briefly as you turn the ignition on before the engine starts. if it is extremely loud, it may be a build up of debris in the filter causing too much back pressure on the pump or the pump may be on its way out. as for the blue smoke.... blue smoke is oil burning in the engine. you didnt say how many miles are on the vehicle but as a vehicle ages it will usually consume some oil as the engine is running. if the smoke only comes out on start up its probably due to the valve seals weeping a tiny bit of oil thru them and its burned up once the engine is running. its not too much to be overly concerned with at the moment, just check your oil level in the engine a little more frequently as now you know that you are consuming some oil at times. also switching to a "high milage" oil may help as they have conditioners in the oil that slightly swell rubber seals in the engine.

2005 Chrysler 300 consumes a quart or two of oil every 3,000 mile

It is not normal for a car with 29,000 miles on it to consume this amount of oil in 10,000 miles. We usually change our oil between 3 and 5 thousand miles and thus may not notice small amounts consumed but certainly not 1-2 quarts. It is more likely that you are leaking oil, but if it is burning it, that is a real problem. If the car was pre-owned do a CARFAX. If it was wrecked, find out was was done. If the odometer is correct, this car needs to be inspected by a professional. I can tell you to look for unburned oil in the tailpipe, smoking exhuast, leaks from the oil pan and drain. Change the oil and filter and closely monitor the level.

My antilock brakes and traction control ligths stays on and some times goes off for a few minutes at start up, how to check for this problem on a 1996 cadilac sts.

One of the sensors at the wheels are not working right. Located on the backside of the spindle look for a wire running to a black plastic sensor. It's possible it might have a crack in it or they are just getting old. ABS- for panic stops if light is on you will have normal brakes. Traction control- for wheel spinning out or burn outs slows motor down so wheels get traction if light is on next time you stab the gas you will have a nice burn out. (Normal driver)
