I have a 1995 Buick Century and it won't crank. When I turn the key the lights come on but it makes no sound as if its trying to turn over. Do you think something may have become loose if so where do I begin looking?

1st check your battery cables to make sure that they are not corroded with acid, if they are , then clean them with a solution of baking soda and water, take a brush and scrub them, then rinse them of, and make sure they are tight, if it still doesn't start, then have someone check your battery out to see if it has a dead cell in it, if the battery checks out ok, then i would suspect the starter.

My 2001 buick century custom sedan 3.1 V-6 will not start at all....no spark...nothing at all......with the headlights on ...they stay bright when I turn the key to try to start but nothing at all..no...

Firstly it is advisable to energise the starter solenoid manually. If the engine cranks the fault is - immobiliser, ignition switch, relay, supply, wiring or connections.

If the engine doesn't crank the fault is likely the starter motor or solenoid.

95 Buick Riviera Died on the highway. 95 buick riviera was making a clanking sound, then I felt a big **** and everything shut off now car won't start, or do anything. what does this problem sound

Your flywheel may have broke or the crank could have broke. If the crank broke the engine is done. Try to turn the engine over by hand. You can put a socket on the crank pully bolt and try to turn it.make sure the key is off and out of the ignition. Sorry for your loss.

2003 buick century won't start -replaced battery, no clicking noise

Check for power on the large wire at the starter. There should be power all the time. Check for power on the small wi at the starter. There should be power with the key in the crank position. If both of the above are true than the starter is likely bad.

Check your battery voltage, sound to me like your battery cold cranking amps is low. Its enough the power the lights but not turn the engine over. Have the battery replace

When my buick century 1995 is cold it will start but won't rev up. once it is hot it runs okay

Number of possibilities. See if you have any diagnostic codes stored. Could be throttle position sensor, coolant temp. sensor, hard to say. I would start with the codes. Does it start easy when warmed up, and run good? Boy, I just don't know.
