Was driving parked the car and came out a few mins. later turned the key and silence...no clicking....tried to start several times and would not. Tried one more time and the car started ??????????????

that sounds like its the ignitionswitch is going bad on the car or its the ignition its self. it could also be a loose wire going to your starter.

Sounds like passlock security failure.Park neatral swith located at top af transmission where shifter cable connects to trans,should be on drivers side.

solenoid just clicks? put a new solenoid on it then if the connections are clean and tight on the old one. When the solenoid just clicks it is shorted out

Try replacing the coolant control temp sensor, the one to the computer (usually it will have two wires), not the sensor to the temp light or gauge (usually has only one wire).
This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control
