I attache the 'hot' or the '+' or the 'Positive' (usually red) wire/ post first. The reason is if you should happen to touch the car with your wrench while attaching ... there is no circuit because the neutral ... which will eventually be connected to the frame and body, is not connected. If you did the neutral first and accidentally touched the body, there would be sparking arcing and noise.

The ground cable always connects first, makes it so you car is grounded to the ground instead of your electrical components, which will prevent them from burning out if a power surge occurs

Wont start. tried jumping still no start had the battier checked and it checks good.

Check to see if plugs have fuel on them, if not check fuel filter/fuel pump. Check your cap and rotor for wear and plug wires. Check coil for spark. Check air filter. Check wiring connections for corrosion and wear. Check fuses and fusible links.

CHECK THE BATTIER FOR POWER AND TRY AND CLEAN THE - AND + TERMENALS WITH HOT WATER AND THEN PRESS YOUR HORN AND HEAR IF IT'S WORKING U GOT POWER & TEST AND SEE IF U GETING 12 VOLTS' IF NOT LOOKS LIKE YOUR BATTIER NEEDS TO BE REPLACE!
