Distributor cap, distributor rotor, spark plug cables, these can cause a spark to be to weak, which would cause the car to use more gas than necessary. fuel filter would also cause lower fuel pressure which would cause the car to use the gas inefficiently. tire pressure, if under inflated will cause to the car to push a little bit harder which could cost you a couple of miles to the galon. these are the only things i can think of that affect gas. other than that it would be something would have to be replaced like your o2 sensors. hope this helps, goodluck

Has your Honda had a tune-up lately? How many miles on it? Sounds like spark-plugs and spark plug wires...also Air Filter, and please add 1-2 bottles od Lucas Oil fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank...could be "old" gas also...and lastly a new or clean air filter...Hope this helps, these are not expensive parts.

Why does my 04 caravan drink a lot of gas?

Your fuel sending unit in tank is bad,may be incorparated with fuel pump or by itself.Car isn't going to drink gas that fast unless leaking. If tank reads a half, fill up to see if it's really half empty, and if it is half full, then your driving a gas hog.

Bad gas miles

I would try changing the oxygen sensors, they are required to be changed each time you do a tune up also if you purchase a K&N air cleaner you will get much better gas miliage.

I'd check for proper fuel pressure, my info says 35--65 psi. If your somewhere in the middle, it should be fine. Once you build pressure, turn off the key, see if the pressure holds for a bit. If it drops like a rock, you have a fuel pressure leak. Possibly a fuel injector?
Can you check fuel trims to see if system is adding or subtracting fuel?

My mpg's are way down I am only getting about 105 miles per full tank of gas. I put new spark plugs in and a new 02 and still mpg's are way down what do I do next?

Try a major tune up (spark plugs are only one part of it) fuel/air filter, PCV valve, cap, rotor, spark plug wires and adjust timing..

I have a 1999 wrangler and it tops out at 55 miles per hour but it doesnt mis and runs great around town

Top speed on a wrangler is typically about 15 miles faster than what you are getting. Check the air pressure, air filter, spark plugs and fuel filter. If all of these are good your carbeurator may be partially blocked. Begin with a fuel additive that will clean your carbeurator. I have had success with a product called seafoam which you add to your gas tank at a rate of one ounce per gallon of fuel. Use it for a couple of fuel tanks full of gas.

Jeep liberty gas mileage

when was the last time you put in fuel injector cleaner? I put in Lucas Oil Injector cleaner every other or every oil change.

There are alot of factors affecting your gas mileage. Tire wear, tire pressure, wheel alignment, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, oxygen sensors, just to name a few. So to say what you need is just shooting in the dark without more information. I would probably start with your oxygen sensors, and then perform a tuneup. If your vehicle pulls to one side or the other when driving on the highway you need to stop into the shop for a wheel alignment.
