Call GM and ask them what the book tike is on that job. Then compare it to other shops' rates. Call your parts store & see if you can get an aftermarket unit, it'll save u some $$$

Cost of replacing alternator drive belt on Mercedes A140 2004

You will need to ask the people or shop that will replace it.
The part can cost from $ 5 to $ 50, and the labor from $20 to $ 200, depending on where you take it.
God bless your efforts.

I have 2002 hyundai sonata gold. Dealer has diagnosed with Immobiliser problem and has quotes 1000 dollars for replacement. Does it cost so much?? Is there any alternative or should I go ahead

Since I have no idea to the cost of the parts and labor time involved in the repair I can't really help on this. Remember labor these days runs about $150.00 (US $) per hour. it varies some by location.

Took my car to get repaired said it was water cost 800.00 dollars said it would take 7 hrs to fix is this true

A ball park figure would be around $600 with cost of pump and labor with labor being most of cost as placement of pump. But I would say you have the full right to have a second opinon of what is wrong with your car before you pay out that amount. Remember you are the customer and they are the client. And cost difference of thermostat and pump is some bills and pcoket changes as you have shown above.

I have a 2005 PT crusier and my front crankshaft is leaking due to this oil is every where I will jave to replace all belts and possibly my alternator how much is a good price to get the crankshafe...

It is hard to tell you what is too much as it all depends on where you live and the shop rates where i live and what i charge is 60.00 an hour what i would normally charge on something like this would be as follows and all labor hours are from chiltons labor guide some shops use a different labor guide which gives them more time to do the job which means you pay more. But here is my labor costs front crank seal that all you need dont try to let them tell you you need the front crank replaced but front crank seal with turbo if your car has turbo would be 2.6 hours so you would multiply that times 60.00 if it does NOT have turbo then the labor hours would be 4.6. It is a good idea while you are doing this to have the timing belt replaced again with turbo 2.3 hours with out turbo 4.6 so you are looking at 4.9 hours with turbo and 9.5 hours with out turbo now these are only labor hours you will still need to factor in parts and labor hours for any additional parts you may want installed. I hope this will help you and give you an idea as to what your cost may run good luck.

I paid $650.00 to replace my alternator in my 2004

I just got my alternator replaced yesterday 6/29/10. I paid $216 for the alternator from autozone and $191 for 2.5 hours of labor. If I would have replaced the alternator with the factory replacement the alternator would have costed about a $100 more. I is a complicated job. The mechanic that replaced my alternator said the he had to remove the right wheel and the right wheel axle in order to have enough room the remove the alternator. The most eye opening thing my mechanic told me was he think it is a design flaw that the alternator is so close to the catalytic converter which causes the alternator to get extremely hot. Under those conditions in time that will shorten the life of the alternator.

Toyota rav maintenance

Sounds extortionate to me. You can expect that for dealer prices perhaps but $750 for an alternator! The alternator itself should cost around $120 to $280 for a remanufactured unit and perhaps one hour or so labor.
It looks like you have been charged much more than 1 hour for fitting. Ask your garage for a breakdown of the work carried out and the price of the parts replaced. They may have fitted an original new part which can cost a lot more.
The price of sensors also varies so find out what they charge exclusive of labor.

Marc
