My 2007 silverado 4x4 2500 HD horn, cruse control and lighter will not work

  • Bill Hill May 05, 2016

I have the same issue with my 2003 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2500. If your fuses are ok like mine are I believe it's something to do with your airbag. On older vehicles they called it a clock spring anyone have a different answer than me. Hope this helps...

2007 Toyota Camry. Dome light, radio, cigarette lighter, horn and clock not working and all fuses are good on both fuse boxes. Any one knows why?

All of those are controlled by or influenced the BCM. You need a good auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool to check the BCM and communication to and from it.

Horn doesnt work after re-pack of airbag

The horn, cruse control and air bag each get power from the clock spring and each have a wire plugged no to it. The horn wire is probably not connected. When the clock spring breaks the horn and cruse control stop working and the air bag light stays on.

Horn problems

the horn going off has to do with the clock spring job-somethings not put back right on that job-the horn is set off by pushing on it something internally is pushing on it-tear that back down and check it out. as far as the cruse control is this on the turn sig stem-it may also be messed up by steering column work-check the fuse just to be sure-cheers Denny

The horn, cruise control and aux power and lighter quit working after I had the truck detailed

Sound as if some components may have been wet. Nevertheless, if the issue persists after several days, you may have to replace the clock spring in your steering, which is located underneath you airbag and yes, you would have to remove the steering wheel as well.

The clock spring acts as a conduit and transmits information from the steering wheel to ecu or pcm.

Good Luck!

The horn and cruse control don't work

I had the same exact thing happen to me, I found out that there was a recall on the clock spring that I never received a notice for, the repair was made for free through dodge.
