If I understand the issue the pan is leaking with oil and you would want to remove it. First you need to take care that while removing the old oil pan replace the oil pump and wire out your oil holes as well. Next put in the new oil pan. In order to remove it the engine mounts must be removed. Next you need to lift the engine upward with a hoist to remove the oil pan. Be careful not to torque too hard. It should be fine to not allow any leak. I am also posting an article which would help you with a detailed step and instruments needed to perform these steps:

You may try this.
1. Park the car on a level surface. Raise the front of the vehicle with the 2-ton jack. Set the jack stands underneath the frame on either side of the car.
2.Place the drain basin underneath the forwardmost pan at the bottom of the engine. Remove the oil drain plug, and drain all of the vehicle's oil into the drain basin. There are 7 1/2 qts. of oil in the Cadillac DeVille. This is why you need a drain basin that is larger than 2 gallons. Let the oil drain for approximately 30 minutes, to remove the majority of the engine oil from the vehicle.
3. Put on your latex or nitrile gloves. Using the 3/8-drive ratchet, remove the 13 mounting bolts located on the bottom edges of the oil pan. Make sure that your oil drain basin is directly beneath the oil pan. Start loosening the bolts in the rear of the vehicle first, away from you. This will allow the oil pan to fall away from you and reduce the risk of you coming in contact with used motor oil.
4. Lower the oil pan, and set it upside down on the edge of the oil drain basin. This will remove the rest of the engine oil. Use your straight-edge razor blade to scrape the remaining gasket material off the bottom of the engine, where you just removed the oil pan. Scrape the remaining gasket material off the oil pan too.

My oil pan is leaking around the corners. What do i do?

drain out hte old oil, Remove oil pan bolts, remove old oil pan gasket, install new gasket, install oil pan, tighten oil pan bolts to 17 ft. lbs. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN as this will distort the gasket and cause another leak.
