I would change the fuel filter. If it's partly clogged, it will starve for fuel, and the computer will throw it into 3rd gear even on a straight- away.

Can you please give me step by step instructions on how to change the water pump on a 1995 chevy silverado 1500 truck

On which one of the five engine options would you like the instructions? There is a 4.3L V6, a 5.0L and 5.7L Gasoline V8, and a 6.5L Diesel and 6.5L Turbo Diesel option.

1995 chevy silverado. power windows, radio, and wipers will not work

Check fuses or it could also be ground wire problem. They attach to the dash next to the ebrake pedal. Some times the get jarred when applying ebrake.

1995 chevy silverado will not start when it is below 40 degrees

This could be alot of things. You could have a weak battery and the cells are freezing up when cold. You could have a coil problem. Do you have spark and fuel? You may have a plugged fuel filter, water in your gas, bad module, poor grounds. It could be a lot of things. A loose cable will cause this also. Do you have a service engine soon light when it runs in warm weather?

Transmission shifts hard into second gear(auto trans). However, when shutting engine off and restarting, the hard shift will go away. It will come back in a few days. Doesn't seem to matter how many...

it may be a bad tps ( throttle position sensor ). it causes transmission shift issues, bucking, jerking, idle surging, engine cut off, surge while crusing down highway. if this does not solve problem, it may be a sticking valve body in transmission. have a good day !! for an automatic tranny.

I have a 1995 Chevy 2500 6.5 turbo diesel and the blow. So I was wondering if theirs any gas engines that will bolt in its place? thanks D Hawkins

Any smallblock chevy to a bigblock chevy will bolt up. examples I would go with : 350 or a 454 . The 6.5 uses the same transmission bolt pattern as these engines. If it's an automatic the flywhell might still work on the 350 or 454.

I have a 1995 chevy geo tracker that goes alright after 2 rpm on flat land but going up hill loses a lot of power .When sitting still i will press the gas and it will go to 2 rpm and then die down to 1 and...

What your reffering to is 1=1000rpm, 2=2000rpm, etc.

Sounds like you are losing power due to possibly wear on the engine; being a 1995 model, I bet it has lots of miles on it.

Your motor is probably just wore out and needs replaced or rebuilt.

Hello on a 2003 chevy silverado pick up truck 4x4

A bad ground or wire somewhere is pulling current from your battery when it's not running. Use a test light, try to find a circuit that is hot when it shouldn't be. It will take some time and patience.
