Sounds like two seperate problems. Horn switch is sticking for some reason.(spilled beer in steering wheel ; ) the engine ligh could be a dozen different reasons. There are 15 different sensors that read what's going on in the engine from oil level to position of the gas pedal to temp of coolant to air fuel ratio and if a sensor is getting a bad reading or is broken the engine light will come on. When it does it stores a code in the computer that can Be read with a diagnostic tool. They will do this for free at most parts storeS. This code tells what sensor is bad or getting a bad reading and you can go fro there.hope that helps a little

Horn quit working need to find out where it is located under the hood of a 1998 ford windstar. Does not toot any more

There is more involved then just the horns ! Fuse , horn relay in the I/P fuse box , clock spring located under the steering wheel . Is the air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? If so the clock spring is probably the issue . The way to find out what the problem is by testing the electrical circuit . VEHICLE RELAYS Operation Diagnosis

What causes my left headlight not to work and my horn will stay on?

sounds like you have short in the wiring or the horn switch, or the horn itself. As for the light, it may be dead , or a broken connection to it.
Check to see if you have voltage going to the horn and the light with a test lamp or VOM meter!

1998 chevy cheyanne horn dont work

Check wires leading to horn, test for power & ground. If that's fine, test horn (from alternate power source) to see if it's broken. Generally it's going to be a problem with the wires to the physical horn under the hood, or the horn itself.

Have a 2000 chev 1/2 ton the truck, will staul, idle ruff, spit and sputter during operation. has new plugs, distributors cap, rotar buttons, and wires. any suggestions.

Check the EGR valve. Sometimes these get a piece of carbon stuck in the valve and cause a very bad idle but run good on the road. Any check engine light on? If so have the codes pulled by the parts store and post them. Don't forget to check fuel pressure, sometimes this will not turn on a light.

Engine runs extremely rough, seems to be fuel related, new fuel pump & filter installed, pressure good, run 2 bottles of injector cleaner through. Can't get to stay running under load. 1998, chev....

Have you changed the plugs, if any are fouled out or if any are worn, it takes more to fire it under load and may be spark knocking because one of the plugs can't fire off all the gas and cause it to skip or idle rough.

Horn Relay replaced multiple times in a few months

Actually you use the horn relay a lot! At least 3 times every time you get lock/unlock your car (6 toots, 2 toots for lock and 1 for unlock right?) ... You just said: "as i clicked my car to lock. It got weaker and weaker until it stopped working" Buy a different brand relay (preferably one not made in China, pay more) and don't expect they WILL last a long time the horns take a lot of power and they have a very dirty feedback to the relay un-like lights. You can dis-able the toots by reading your owners manual.
