I need to reset my oil i changed the oil but cant reset the button... please help

you can reset your oil change light by pressing the "maintenance" button below the "navigation screen" and make sure that you are not driving becasue it will not let you reset it. And once at the "oil change" screen, just hold the "trip reset" button for a few seconds and YOU'RE GOOD TO GO! and you can also change the miles in between the "check oil light," once at the screen just use the "left/right" buttons and make it go anywehre from 3000-10,000 i believe, but it may go less or more. hope this helped!

Hello tiffinkie: My name is Roger an I will help you. First open the passenger door and locate the fuse panel located in the end of the dash cover. Remove the cover turn the key on. Do not start the motor. Push the reset button located at the top of the instrument fuse panel.The CHANGE OIL light will start to flash.Press and hold the RESET button again. On some of these cars to reset change oil light, turn key on, press gas peddle three time with in 5 sec. light will flash when reset is done, turn key off and start car, in others at the fuse box will have a reset button that reads on it (reset) just push that button.

It's a little button above your right knee. Try turning the ignition on (without starting it)... then press the button for about 5 secs... then start it. Should be out then.

Ok you cant change the oil level, you need to reset the oil change light, right???. Scroll until it reads OIL LIFE , now find the button that looks like a backwards "L" with an arrow on the lower leg, now hold that button in until the oil life resets. Oil life is based on the correct oil used, be sure it meets GM 6094 Spec. If its not synthetic, its not good enough.

If you have the Driver information Center then you just select engine life cycle and hold down set button, otherwise You turn the igniton on, pump the pedal 3 times within 5 seconds, the change oil light should start flashing indicating it has been reset.
