Have the freon checked to make sure the freon is not low,I am guessing the expansion valve is closing up,have someone put some ac gauges on the ac system and see,if I am right the low side pressure will fall low like 10 psi,or lower.

I have the same problem starting on mine. The first answer above is totally wrong. The actuators that control the doors are 12 volt electric no vacuum. There are three actuators on the drivers side under the panel by the gas pedal. I haven't worked on mine so I can't tell you which one it is but all are the same part and interchangeable take a new one and try it in each position until it works. There is one in the center console and one under the passenger side by the blower motor the console is for rear HVAC and the passenger one is for recirculation after installation it will have to be calibrated . Turn ignition to ON not start push the power button and the recirculation button at the same time hold for 5 seconds lights should start flashing leave it for two minutes or the lights stop flashing. If they don't stop recalibrate until they do. If they won't stop drive for eight miles and it will stop on it own. (but not fixed)
My 2003 Toyota Camry AC often starts blowing hot air and the AC light starts blinking. I don't know why the following process works, but it does. Using the temp selector (left) reduce the temperature all the way down to Max Cold and then push the Auto button. It will start blowing out very cold air. After a little while push the temp selector to the desired temperature.
it is needing to be calibrated because of dead battery.i cant remember for sure but i think you had to push rear wiper and recirc buttons at the same time and hold them down a couple of seconds. engine has to be running and at normal operating temp. lights will flash and vents will change heat to cold etc. if it fails any test the lights will just keep blinking untill repaired and recalibrated.
With my 1998 TC you have to start car turn to cold and fan on high. Tehn hold down the rear wiper and WASH buttons until the lights start flashing differently. Let it run through until only the rear wiper light is blinking. You should here it cycling through the different functions. When it is jsut the rear wiper blink press that button and the system is reset if there are no problems. A low voltafge problem had caused mine to act up.
Try this and see if it works. Let me know. Start your van. Then slide
your temp lever all the way to the left (full cold). Then turn the Mode
Control to 'panel' (the one that sends air to your face only). Then
turn the 'blower switch' to all the way to full. Now go to the leftmost
three buttons. Press the top one (rear wiper on constant) and the
bottom one (rear wiper washer fluid). Hold these two for a few seconds.
Once the lights come on solid then begin to flash you can let go. The
AC will now calibrate. You will feel the air blow out of all the
different zones at different intervals and see lights come on and go
off. Then after a minute or two the top button you pressed will be
slowly flashing. This means it has been completed .
Press the last flashing button and you are done.
disconnect a/c compressor connector and reconnect make sure the connector is tight....my van was doing the same thing and after i did that it works great no more flashing lights
Sounds like its gone into programming mode.
All you need to do is start your van. (if you are unsure what knob or lever is which I am looking in the manual for proper terms) Then slide your temp lever all the way to the left (full cold). Then turn the Mode Control to 'panel' (the one that sends air to your face only). Then turn the 'blower switch' to all the way to full. Now go to the leftmost three buttons. Press the top one (rear wiper on constant) and the bottom one (rear wiper washer fluid). Hold these two for a few seconds. Once the lights come on solid then begin to flash you can let go. The AC will now calibrate. You will feel the air blow out of all the different zones at different intervals and see lights come on and go off. Then after a minute or two the top bottn you pressed will be slowly flashing. This means it has been completed (I actually let it run for 5 more minutes just in case something else started blinking). Press the last flashing button and you are done.
thanks for the help
