If the engine cradle is bent or the sub frame, I'd get rid of it. If the control arm is bent, that is replaceable. With a broken axle, I'd be suspicious of the transmission as things tend to move much further then "snap back" during impact. Doing the work yourself will save a lot of $ and if you use scrap yard parts, even more (will also cut your losses if it doesn't work out well). Don't bother doing anything with the fender etc 'till you are sure it goes straight after replacing the items you mentioned. (after installing, have it aligned)
You are the best judge of whether you will keep it. You drove it every day and know what you had better than anyone else does. Time is also a factor...how long can you lay it up???
Good luck!

My wife hit something on the passenger side of of her 2011 Ford fission now you can't steer it Its like something is locking up Now the axle on the driver side where it goes into trans is locking Up ...

start where the right side was hit jack up the car & see if there is bent tie rods and look at the drive axle on the right side it could be jammed all the way in because now the right side is pushed into far or the axle shaft has bent also look at the strut alignment if it's in to far it's forcing the axle inward and jamming the transaxle you must put the car on jack stands to do this at the same height you will see that something is bent or knocked out of alignment the right side will show the more inward angle also look at the engine & trans mounts they could have been broken and now the hole power plant is out of alignment good luck and use a good jack/stands to climb under the car and have someone else there with you who is competent to help you if something goes wrong your wife may panic and not really know what to do so get a guy who is knowledgeable about these things most women just don't know & this is nothing against them it's not there thing so please be safe! I know that your not a mechanic otherwise you wouldn't be asking here so thumbs up to you for trying and your safety is of great concern any time you get under a vehicle do it in a safe place where no Dumbo's going to hit the car while your under it,it's happened to me that's why I'm including this here I had a dude back into the car while I was under it I just made it out in time before he knocked it off the jack stands on a street where there was 100 parking spots he had to park there and back into the car no less idiotic behavior is always a concern be safe Rodney please be safe!

1994 geo prizm replaced drive axle and wheel bearings and it sounds like the drver side axle is binding or broken or not in all the way it makes a loud knocking from the driverside like the axle is hitting...

I see there are two different axles listed, with and without abs. One is slightly longer than the other. You could have the wrong axle or it could be something inside the transmission. I doubt the passenger side axle would affect the driver side.
Can you raise the front end and make the noise with the car parked ?

I have a 2000 volkswagen beetle that was wrecked and it has a bent frame on the front passanger side what would it cost me to have the frame straighten and it fixed or is it even worth fixing?

if the frame is bent, then there is more stuff bent, it's better to have a body shop check it out, there is always more damage then you can see, , something that old, just might be a total

Front passenger side broken axle

Need to replace the drive shaft. Aftermarket parts work fine. The biggest issue is removing inside connection to the half shaft. The clip ring tension is stronger than the boot holding the inboard joint on the drive shaft. To break it loose get a large screw driver and from under the car in front hit the inboard joint hard several times until it over comes the clip ring. Remember... always use jack stands when working under the car.

I have a bent rear passenger side tire due to an accident, how do I fix it?

sounds like a hard hit ur problems can be an accumulation of one or more of the following bent rim --,bent and or broken hub,-- spindle bent or broken, shock, strut bent,broken--unibody [frame]bent ---u will have to remove wheel and look at the parts and see which is damaged also open trunk and look at the floor for bends and wrinkles also look at rear from back and look at the body for straightness unless u have a straightener for the unibody to fix body and or frame should be done by shop that is trained in repairs r the parts which ever part or parts need to be replaced they are all bolt in only worry would be replacing the strut if ur chevy came with that option most had a shock

Wrecked 2004 suburban how do you measure the frame to see if it is bent , car was hit on passenger side bent frame horn to the right. set off the air bags.

Well you can measure from the lower front balljoint with a tape measure all the way back to the middle of the rear axle housing on the same side, then do that for the other side your measurements probabley won't be the exact same on both sides but should be within about a 1/4 of and inch. Then you can do the cross measure way by taking the tape measure and going from the left front lower balljoint to the right rear axle housing then do the same for the other side. This should also be within about 1/4 of an inch.

I hit a curb with my front passenger wheel. Since

You probably bent the rim slightly or knocked off a wheel weight, just get your front wheel re-balanced.

Alignment causes a pull not a vibration, and it takes a hard hit to bend a frame.

I bet you this is not more then a 50 dollar fix.

Cheers,

Bent frame

Usually when the frame is bent, the insurance company will total out the car. I would suggest obtaining a second opinion. With the frame bent you set yourself up for a lot of problems later with vibration issues and alignment problems.
