Question about 2002 Ford Escape
I have a 2002 Escape V6.
Actually, I think 4 & 5 are in the front.
See this web site:
I had #4 go bad. It was the coil. I had over 100,000 miles, so I replaced the plugs. To get the back coils and plugs (#1 #2 #3), you'll need to remove the Upper Intake. The gasket set is about $10.

4 & 5 are towards the back you might have to remove the cover and air intake pipe to see. Sounds like it needs a set of spark plugs.
