I have a 1994 Toyota Rav4 and no owners manual. There is a light coming on occasionally that looks like a car with the rear lights on. Do you know what it means

Once those dash lights come on or any light stays on, there

In 1994 Toyota Camry, the third stop light was located at lower center part of the rear window, not in the upper part.

That symbol (tire tread) could mean a low tire pressure. The majority of vehicles today have the low tire pressure warning system, which indicates that one or more of the tires are below the minimum tire pressure. Have the tire pressure checked in each tire. As for turning the warning light off, some vehicles the light will go out after tires are inflated properly. Have them check the owner's manual for resetting warning light. Please inform me as to whether or not it was the tires...thanks.

The light that you see is the 'rear taillamp failure ' indicator. This light comes on when you have a burnt out brake or taillamp. A sensor in the trunk (driver side) looks after the operation of the rear bulbs,.

When checking the rear lamps for outages, please do not forget to look at the brake light in the rear window, it too is monitored by the rear lamp failure sensor.

Replace any burned out lightbulbs, and the sensor will shut off the light.

call the dealer and ask them.

Well, this is rather embarassing but I simple decided to look through the owners manual thinking that they usually don't contain that sort of thing and there I found. Pictures and a description of the process. Very simple...remove a phillips screw to remove a small plate covering the 2 screws that hold the tail light assembly in place. Remove the 2 screws and pull our the assembly and replace the bulb. Duh....I thought with Toyota engineering, they wouldn't make replacing a bulb a major project. Thanks for checking back....Allen
