If its the viscus fan then you need to get a large spanner its a 32mm leaving the fan belt on you need to hit with a hammer you need to remember that its left hand thread

It makes a loud noise the hole time it is on and it sound like the fan is hitting something.

Hi, I think this model as a viscous fan fitted, check to see if the bearing as gone by rocking it from the top to bottom, good luck

Might be the fan bearings are going bad and letting the fan wobble abit on start up. Check for cracked fan blade, or loose.
