If its the viscus fan then you need to get a large spanner its a 32mm leaving the fan belt on you need to hit with a hammer you need to remember that its left hand thread

Might be the fan bearings are going bad and letting the fan wobble abit on start up. Check for cracked fan blade, or loose.
