SOURCE: Reset 1992 Honda Civic radio code

The Unlock Code and the device unit's serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. The card is usually placed in the glove box at the time of delivery. Use the Unlock Code listed on this card. For certain models, the dealer may have placed a label with the device serial number on the glove box. eb235a0.jpg ----------------- If you cant find it, you need 3 things

1. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

2. Phone Number and Zip Code Information

  • For security purposes, we(HONDA) verify ownership by comparing the phone number, zip code, and VIN you enter with those we have on file. Unless you have updated these values through Customer Services, the phone number and zip code will be those on file at the time the vehicle was purchased.
3. Device Serial Number
  • you need the radio's serial number. since it is located on the back of the radio. your gonna need the pull the radio to get it.

Then CLICK HERE and enter the information for automated code retrieval.

------------------------------

or you can pull out the radio, take it to the service dept. of a honda dealership and ask them if then can look up the code for you. they might ask you for your vehicles VIN, so you might wanna have that written down.
i always get a marker (Sharpie) and write the code on the top of the radio. that way you can't loose it.

SOURCE: battery ran down.now radio/clock don't work. flashes Error.can this be reset?

try taking the radio out and looking on the top for the parts number. call Honda and tell them what is going on and they will give you a 4 digit code that will reset the radio. i had the same problem with my 05 civic, did that and it worked for me.

  1. Edit Step 15 ¶ When it's time to change the oilin your Civic, the maintenance light (orange wrench) will appear on your dash, as well as a B1 message, showing an oil life of 15% or less. I have a 95 Honda civic. My cig. Liter works but my radio won't turn on no matter what I do. My clock resets every time I get in the car. I've replaced my wiring harness the fuse in my radio is...

Don't know if yours is one but some 95 Honda civic have a antitheft program. If the battery ever goes dead or voltage is removed from it, it will not work until a program code is given to bring the radio back to life. you might want to try searching 95 Honda civic radio code.

How do i replace the bulb in the digital clock on a 96 (s reg) honda civic thanks

Hi,

The digital clock assemblies are a single unit - if the LED panel inside the clock fails, then you would replace the entire clock assembly.

Ensure you check the clock fuse hasn't blown, before suspecting the actual clock as faulty.

Cheers,

I replaced the battery on my 2008 Honda Civic & now I have an error code 9 on the radio which does not work. How do I reset the clock & radio?

you will have to check your glovebox for manualy, there is also a card with the radio code, if you cant find it then the radio has to be removed to get serail # and then call the dealer; they will give you the code.

Got 1998 Honda Civic - both clock and radio lose memory when ignition is turned off any ideas why this is? Power to getting to both radio and clock but memory goes.

There should be a backup radio (clock) fuse (probably in your inside-the-car fuse box). Sounds like it might not be there, or it is blown. It is normally removed in order to clear trouble codes from the computer.
When you do that (remove it to clear trouble codes), the clock and the radio have to be reset, so it sounds like that fuse may be missing (the car will run without it).
Hope this helps you.
