have the code pulled from the computer to find out what set the lights on.the traction control works off of the abs sytem and so if theres a problem its not uncommone for both lights to come on.the brake light and abs lights on at the same time means there is a possible serious problem
the rear brake light probably needs to have a new bulb. The traction control light on means traction system is off. There is a button I think on the dash or cosole that says TCS...try pushing the button and maybe that will turn light off. At hard throttle TSC keeps wheel from spinning
with the help of wheel speed sensors from the anti-lock brake system.when TSC is off car will drive like a hot rod. the TSC takes away power from engine by reducing power.anti -lock system lets the TSC know that one wheel is spinning faster than the rest.If that helps let me know
There is a good possibility that this may not be a transmission related issue but a bearing hub assembly which may be going bad. The abs sensor is contained the with in the wheel bearing. They may be able to put a scan tool on it and let you know what codes are disabling the abs and traction control but quite possibly just a bad wheel bearing.
If your vehicle has traction control, there will be a light on the dash. Turn the key to the on position (don't start the car), and observe the dash. If you see a little car with some lines behind it (the lines look like an "S"), you have traction control.
No little car with a squiggly S behind it; no traction control.
When the low freon light comes on it means that there is little or no freon in the a/c system. The hvac module will not let the compressor engage to protect the system. You will need to partially charge the system and add dye to find out where it is leaking. If no external leaks are found then it is usually the evaporator core. This is located in the dash and is a big job. As far as the ABS light you need to get the codes from the ABS module to find out what wheel or wiring could be causing the problem. When the ABS light is on the traction control light will come on automatically.Once you get the codes post back and I`ll be glad to help you out or let me know what the shop found.Good luck.
My friend has just installed new rotors and brake shoes on the rear of my 99 deville. The service stability system light flashes on and off and dings, as it flashes. Also, the traction control light is on at the top of the dash. How do I go about cancelling these anoying lights out on my dash??!! Please, somebody help me.
