The chime is normally a small looking relay in the fuse panel assembly under the dash. Is your light coming off when you insert your buckle? If it does, your chime is bad and needs replaced if you want to hear it. Sorry I couldnt be more help, try buying a junkyard chime to test or if you have a volt tester check for power and ground circuits at the chime junction location. The chime like I said looks like a relay but has a tiny plastic speaker inside it.

Seat belt chime will not stop going off even after i am buckled up

disconnect that sucker from under the seat. Look under the seat ( move it all the way forward it will easier) find the seat belt buckle there will be a wire coming off it. follow the wire to the connection then disconnect it. no more chime. or light on the dash either

there is a tiny little box under the driver side dash that makes the sound.
No easy way to tell you exactly where it is, but it's under there.

My seatbelt on my 1999 Chevy 2500 bell keeps ringing even after I put my seat belt on and the light stays on. Can I remove a fuse to stop the annoying ringing?

I would find the wiring harness that connects to that seatbelt connector, most likely under the seat and unplug it. If that circuit is fused it isn't specified in the fuse descriptions. Alternatively you can listen to the chime and trace the location of the chime unit by ear, probably buried in the dash and disconnect it, and then pull the warning lamp.

When trying to start the van, I had no panel lights. the radio works and the dome lights work. The door chime works and head lights work. but will not do anything else. Nothing lights up on speedometer...

Check under the hood and look at the fuses. The fuse box is located on the passenger side above the battery. If the fuses test good, reseat the fuses. I hope this helps.

HOW DO YOU DISABLE THE SEAT BELT CHIME ON A 1997 MERCUTY SABLE WA

Q: Are you wearing your seat belt? Yes? No?

A: No.
Solution: Put on your seat belt!!!!!! Save a life!!!

A: Yes.
Soultion: There has to be a fuse either under the dash or under the hood that controlls the chime.
There is a switch in the seatbelt connecter that controlls the chime. It has either failed or the wireing that carried the signal to shut the chime off has been damaged.

Seat belt chime not working

I bet its a fuse. Look under your drivers side belly pan for a fuse box door. Pull the door open/off and look at the fuse diagram to see which one might be related to the seat belt and autol ock. Cross reference it and check the fuse to see if it isn't blown. If you dont see anything that relates to it or dont find any blown fuses, check the engine bay as often cars feature a second fuse box. Check that one for blown fuses as well. This is a very easy thing to do yourself, your randma could do it.

Seat belt chimes continue after seat belts are on.

i drove for a whole year with my car chiming finally figured it was a fuse that had blown causing the chiming bell to go on. Check your fuses and youll find one that is blown replace it and you should be fine.
